“dubrovnik hotel”

the dubrovnik hotel is located onthe central squure,convienent to get around and within waliking distance of many of the sites in zagreb. the parking lot was a liitle confussing at first, it is located on the street behind the hotel,the entrance to the hotel is on a pedestrian walkway only,at first the hotel receptionist said parking was extra and not included but i showed her that in the expedia discription it was included sothe hotel honored it. overall very nice hotel and staff would stay there again.

“great location”

this hotel is right on the main square (yet very quiet in the room at night) and within easy walking distance to other fun areas in Zagreb. museums and great restaurants also within walking distance. great breakfast with lots of variety. only issue was the stale air and faded look to the rooms. overall ...i would recommend this hotel especially if you want to be in the heart of the downtown area.

“Great location”

I stayed there twice on my last trip when traveling to other cities in Croatia. The hotel staff are efficient and professional. The room was small, but luxurious. The location near shopping, the cable car line and open air market was very convenient. The breakfast offers an ample selection of American and European favorites. The only drawback is that because the hotel is on a pedestrian mall, taxis cannot drop off at the entrance during the day time and early evening hours.

“In the heart of Zagreb”

Very nice and contemporary hotel located in the heart of the central Zagreb. Accomadations and staff very nice and helpful. Walking distance to all the attractions, restaurants, pubs, etc.

“Review of Hotel Dubrovnik”

I stayed in the hotel for 1 night. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area and is a short walk or tram ride from the train/bus station and all major attractions. The area is quite safe and there are a number of great sidewalk cafe's, restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk. Overall the hotel was great and I enjoyed Zagreb. I wish I could have stayed longer. Zagreb is a cool city and the people are great. It truly deserves a minimum of a 2 day stay but I was able to see all of the key attractions in one day.

Area recommendations

Make sure you visit and spend some time in Trg Josip Jelačića which is the main square right outside of the hotel. Garb some fruit in the daily vegetable market; Dolac Fruit & Vegetable Market. Also make sure you check out the upper town area.

“fantastic Location!!!”

The hotel is in a great location!! You really couldn't get better if you tried!! The staff were really nice and helped with information and resources. Parking was available and is only a short 2 minute walk from the hotel. I cannot remember exactly how much it is extra per day.. something along the lines of 15 euros?? Would stay there again for sure!!

“watch what room you get!”

Intentionally I did not book the smallest and cheapest room. But what I got was a very small room on the back with a concrete facade not more than one meter in front of the window. As a consequence - dont open the curtain unless you like grey concrete walls - there is NO daylight and it is consequently cold - there is lots of noise from the air conditioners echoing So, if you decide to stay there, ask for a room x01-x11, they face the pedestrian zone and seem to be bigger.

“Great Hotel in a great location in a great city!”

We stayed two nights at the start of our trip and one night at the end. The hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's located on the main city square just a few meters from the tram, the upper town, the Dolac Market, and all of the best sites in Zagreb. It was also an easy tram ride to the Stadion where we watched World Cup qualifying soccer as well as a local match. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. Room was extremely clean and comfortable and the wireless internet worked well. Easy to find by car as signs point the way, it also was not a problem to park even the the main square is pedestrian only. Highly, highly recommended.

Traveller's tip

If you find yourself in Zagreb on a Sunday, check out the local flea market in Britanski trg just a few blocks west down from the main Square You'll walk past a funicular that will take you to the upper town. This ride would be a must if you have kids. Search for "in your pocket" guides before you go. They are the best current english language guide to events and happenings you will find. Enjoy-Zagreb is a great city with lots to do for several days and the people are fantastic.
