"It's a property rich in history, culture, art, furnishings, aesthetics. Staff are helpful, informative, attentive. They are welcoming, friendly. The rooms are clean, diverse in style, comfortable, with great views of sky, water, beach, pine trees, islands, and mountains. Sandy beach and surf are just in front of the ryokan. Mercure Saga Karatsu Resort
4.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (125)
"I reserved a room each for my own mother and mother-in-law. My own mother's room had some paint peeling but was satisfactory. However, my mother-in-law's room was not in good condition with peeling wallpaper. We stayed at the same time as a large group of student travelers, so the noise they made was a bit disconcerting. However, the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet was very satisfactory and made the whole family happy. We understood at a glance that the city's location makes it...

"The most freshest food I eat in all of japan and also the most exotic too. The views from the room was beyond picturesque, it was one of those moments when you just sip your coffee and just look at the sun riseing up out of the ocean with the volcanic looking island scattered along the cost and think this is something. "Nice hotel design . But most of the staff don’t speak English well. There are v few choice of food and the Japanese restaurant is not to par , the food is way overpriced . The quality is below average . I hate to say it but the truth is that the food is the worst I have ever tried in Japan . the staff there is not polite and at some point I found them rude . Eg we had dinner in a private room but the air conditioning was hot, without bothering the waitress , I tried to adjust the temperature by...

Rakuten STAY HOUSE WILL STYLE Saga Imari
3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (33)
"Good self-contained property. There was only a tiny saucepan (in a house that caters for up to 6 people) when we checked in. We contacted the agent, and while it took a bit of negotiation, they organised someone to deliver a bigger saucepan the next day - so top marks for their responsiveness. Imari (and the nearby Okawachiyama Village) is charming, and we used it as a base to explore Hirado. "
