A wonderful location surrounded by native birds and kangaroos. My two friends and I spent 2 nights in the Waterfall Cottage and, with the exception of the mattress on the fold out couch, we were extremely comfortable. Nothing quite like sitting on the veranda in the sun with a champagne, watching the roos and listening to the sounds of the Yarra River. Or snuggling up on a cold night on the couch in front of the wood fire heater watching a movie. Can't wait to return.
We stayed for 3 nights in a spa suite in September 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped - free Wi-Fi was a welcome feature! Access to the indoor pool, spa and gym and the on-site restaurant and cellar door are more plusses for this place. From checking in, to room cleaning and checking out we found the hotel staff to be friendly and efficient.
The location, just minutes north of the township of Yarra Glen and surrounded by the wineries of the Yarra Glen, is both scenic and convenient. There's so much to see and do that we didn't use either of the TVs in the room.
Look for any special deals going, it's worth the visit. We'd certainly plan on coming back!

I flew down from Brisbane to take my daughter for a weekend in the Yarra for her birthday. I chose this hotel as the reviews were good and it looked like it was out in the country and peaceful. We were both delighted with our stay here. The room and ensuite were very spacious and relaxing with two large comfy lounges and a very comfy King size bed. It was just as quiet and peaceful as I had hoped. There was absolutely no noise we could hear from our room even though there was a wedding one night. We did not even realise till the next morning when we saw it set up. The buffet brekky was fantastic with fresh local produce both cold and hot. The staff were all lovely helpful and friendly. We had left it a bit late to book in to the restaurant and so did not try this as it was booked out. Which is a very good sign. We had a busy weekend at the Tulip Festival and the National Rhododendron Park. Also antique shopping. Overall I had an exceptional experience at Yarrra Valley Lodge and look forward to returning with my husband.

Nice little stay here at the entrance to the Yarra Valley area. Comfy little room with a double bed and couch. Bathroom's were well appointed with what looked to be new fittings etc.
Very clean room.
Great for a short stay.
Absolutely lovely accommodation and hosts who were there if needed but gave privacy also. Room was lovely and clean, plenty of towels, wonderful brekky supplied, free wi fi, cosy cabin with fantastic heating. Highly recommended. Thank you setting up a beautiful retreat.
