“Happy maids make a happy guest”

The maid staff at the Doubletree hotel near DuPont Circle was amazing. I've never encountered friendly, smiling maids at a hotel before. Each morning upon emerging from my clean, comfortable room, I was greeted with a "good morning" and a warm smile by the women cleaning rooms down the hall. They are also excellent at their jobs-- not a speck of dust, not even on the shelf in the closet! (Yes, I do check.)

This hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood which is convenient to everthing from a full service grocery to a coffee shop with excellent iced tea and delicious muffins. In addition, a 7-11 and a pharmacy are just down the street. If you've never slept on a Temperpedic mattress you will at the Doubletree and it was great. Even though there was a 1" gap at the top and bottom of our room door which leads to the hallway, the hotel was surprisingly quiet at night. We visited in August so the temp outside was about 100 degrees in the shade but the hotel's air conditioning system was excellent as you could adjust it to 50 degrees if you wanted to. The valet took no longer than 10 minutes to get my car and the staff overall was tremendous. My wife loved the chocolate chip cookies we received at check-in so much that she purchased half a dozen for our son. When she made the purchase they gave us another 2 for ourselves. Finally, the price was very reaonsable for the location. My son graduates from law school in the spring so I'm fairly certain I'll be back at the Doubletree on Rhode Island Ave. Again, just an excellent choice for us!

We were very pleased with our stay at the DoubleTree. Every member of the staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. The beds were WONDERFUL! The only problem we had was having to have our keys rekeyed a few times the week we were there. Other than that, the hotel was great. We were less than 10 minutes from the Dupont Circle Metro station, good restaurants were within walking distance, and the sites of DC itself were easily reached.

I went to this hotel with my family and they all enjoyed it especially for it's location. Walking in the area was wonderful. It was about our blocks to the metro. The room itself was very clean and seem like it was brand new. Everything was good though there was no gym or pool on site.

I hotel was very clean and quiet. The only thing is that they still have a hold on my credit card and will not release it. I called several times, but will try again.

I was provided all I needed, a clean - well appointed room, comfortable bed... and a nice hot cookie when you walk in!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and cutreous. The cookies...A HUGE BONUS!!!! Room service cost a little on the pricey side, but there are a ton of places to eat within one block. The metro is about a half a mile away to walk. Very nice, would deffinately go back!

“Great location, nice staff, very good room.”

The hotel was centrally located near Dupont Circle, Logan Circle, and downtown Washington. We just parked our car and walked and took public transportation or cheap cabs everywhere we went. The staff was very accommodating, the room way more than adequate (great bed), and extremely clean. Would definitely stay again.

“Very modern room, very efficient”

The room is somewhat modest in size but everyhting is so tastefully and efficiently put together that it more than makes up for the size. Halls not quite as modern as the rooms and lobby.
