"After looking at several hotels close to Mall of America we decided on the Holiday Inn Express & Suites 12th Avenue. The location was great. The feature that surprised us was the free shuttle to the MOA. I called the hotel when we were 2 hours away and asked if we could park there and use the shuttle since we were checking in at 3:00. Gary asked if I was an IHG rewards member. I am (without any points). He said to come in and get a parking pass and he was sure he could get us into a room without an extra fee. This was at 11:30AM! Kayla was a wonderful receptionist. She was very friendly and efficient. Her concern was putting us in a room with the best view since construction was going on across the street. She gave us 2 bottles of water and our keys. At other hotels I've only gotten waters if I was at a certain level in their program. Remember I have 0 points here. The room was spacious for us with our two teenage grandchildren. We freshened up then went to the front desk to book our shuttle. The driver was already there and was super friendly as well as a jokester. Off we went to spend our day at the mall. Both Kayla and the driver had explained to us how to call for the shuttle when we were done shopping. The wait to catch the shuttle back ended up being a little longer because of high traffic. The hotel had friendly staff, was clean, the pool was not cold, the breakfast had hot and cold foods. I would definitely rebook and have already recommended it to family."

"I enjoyed my stay at this property. The only problem I had was the lack of housekeeping. I didn’t like that I stayed 6 nights and the staff didn’t clean daily and didn’t change the bed linen"

"Needs renovation for sure. Bathroom door stuck, makes loud noises when moved beds were loud, every time you moved the base would squeak. Room was incredibly hot all weekend. Thermostat would not go lower than 68 they were going to send a person but got to late and we had to go to sleep as we left rarly"
