Disliked: Cleanliness
A little disappointing
We had a good time considering the terrible weather, however there were a few issues that we were a little disappointed about:
◦ No ironing board
◦ No hair dryer
◦ Fridge not working & we lost $50 worth of quality lamb cutlets that turned rancid
◦ Gutters full and overflowing in heavy rain furniture.
◦ Broken sliding Flyscreen door
◦ Ant problem in the kitchen
◦ Mixer taps fiddly / hard to operate
◦ Dryer ineffective and no instructions, door stays locked
◦ BBQ was dirty and rusty (despite warnings we’d be charged $50 if left unclean)
◦ Someone had had a pet there, there was dog or cat fur all over the outdoor seating cushions
◦ Little to no advice or information given about the property when we asked Madison about things such as dishwashing liquid/5salt & pepper which were there when we arrived
◦ Agent said he could have replaced the fridge however we had no knowledge of their involvement in the property other than giving us the keys nor their contacts, opening hours etc
◦ Dirty, dusty surfaces, windows, pergola and filthy light fittings full of bugs throughout. Floor mats dirty. Definitely was not “immaculate” as advertised.
◦ Various lights not working such as on the deck and lamp in second bedroom
◦ Poor lighting in the bathroom
◦ Grass & garden full of weeds and not trimmed, it was up to our knees
◦ I would not stay here again, the landlord needs to do maintenance
