The staff at this hotel are fantastic. We had a car situation that we needed help with, and they had it fixed within a few hours for us! The views are great, food was good. We really appreciated the breakfast in the morning. 5 stars!

We enjoyed the location of this hotel:very close to the black sand beach, Dyrhólaey, and Vik. Perfect for our trip. Room was great. Also the dinner we had. Fantastic view from dining room! Breakfast buffet was good as well. Highly recommend.

Greedy and unsympathetic hotel owner. We got into an ACCIDENT and was unable to make it to the hotel for the second night, and gave them advance notice. They still refused to cancel our second night and provide even a partial refund. Just another tourist trap in Iceland.

The room was clean, but poorly designed. In the USA, the room would be comparable to Motel 6, but with less attention to design. Even the television, that we didn’t watch, was in a location that made no sense. The room had no character. Everything was white, no pictures, no anything. The bathroom sink was designed for brushing your teeth, nothing else. The hall way had motion sensor lights, which is cool, but mostly this created a feel of walking down a dark hallway. The only way to access our room was to walk through the restaurant, trying to dodge people in the buffet line with our luggage. The experience was odd to a fault. With that said, the view toward the ocean was stunning. But, I can’t recommend the stay as being worth the price.

The hotel is located at the top of a hill with a great view of the bay. The rooms are very spacious even for 3 adults to share, and the WiFi signal is very good. The breakfast is also very good with plenty of seating.
