Great centre location, very quiet. Very helpful friendly staff, even before arrival we had superb service from Zack who went to great lengths to help us find s great driver to take us up to Luang Prabang. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated in rich fabrics and colours.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The included breakfast was very nice. The room it self is very dark, unless you keep the window open, which no thank you.

Lovely room, great location, friendly staff that assisted with train tickets, taxis etc. Nice rooftop bar. Charming hotel. Breakfast was good- made to order. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and sights.

Colorful serene refuge
Stylish comfortable stay at in the center of the Lao capital. Loved my large colorful suite with adjustable blinds. Great a/c. Slightly inconvenient shower. Nice refuge from the general disaster that is Vientiane.

Good breakfast and ambience
Excellent breakfast. Tasty and the way it was presented. Especially the Lao Poet Jam. The room we got was high but facing construction. The pool was clean and at highest level you can sit there and see sunset. The night market and supermarket and cafes ( hard rock!)are nearby.

A gem in the capital city of Laos
Always a pleasure to stay at Lao Poet. Service is excellent and the decor a dream. One steps into a different era or state when stepping inside Lao Poet. Minimalist luxury. The roof-top pool and bar offers spectacular views of the city.

A perfect setting for a few days of relaxation. The service was efficient and understated. Many choices for the included breakfast. Set on a quiet street with excellent views over Vientiane from the pool deck and bar.

A lovely stay in a bustling neighborhood
A great location, right in the heart of the French quarter and within walking distance of many sights and shops. We had an incredible driver (pm me to get details) to take us to other sites when we wanted to get out of the city or to/from airport. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. There seem to be a few "tweaks" being made to service by management that will help in future. We booked spa treatments for our final day and the masseurs were very well trained in massage

Amazing staff; welcoming, pleasant personality, helpful. Room is clean and up to standard. Love the cocktail list at the roof top bar, but should have opened till late night. Breakfast is great, but should have more of the local options.

Great location, amazing rooms and good service. Receptionists kind and friendly, knowledgeable about the city but a bit lost when asked about outside tours, waterfalls, etc. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Thin walls
Location makes it good for walking around Vientiane to all the central sites, and you're a couple of roads over from the night market and a few tripadvisor tourist recommended bars (pass on Earth.. horrendous service). Downside of the hotel is the walls are made of paper. The couple next door were fairly active majority of the night, which sparked the couple the other side as well so it was a fairly sleepless night with a very vocal party. The beds were made use of. Alot. Many times.

Nice hotel
It was a nice hotel. The shower didn’t drain well so we had to get that sorted and then in the morning from 6am there was a cockerel near by which went on all day long. The room was nice and the staff were lovely. We weren’t there long or I’d ask to move rooms due to the cockerel as it was constant. Don’t take a room on the side with the car park.

Great service and location!
This was our first time in Laos, so we decided to stay at this hotel based on their reviews. The location is great if you are willing to walk to look at their local temples and street vendors/night market. The hotel physically itself is decent. The decor in the lobby & room is very nice, but the technology is very undeveloped compared to other hotels. To open the door, you need to use a physical key that’s attached to a long and bulky keychain, instead of a card key. Also, the TV doesn’t work well, it has lots of static and only about 10 channels. Staff is super friendly, and always welcomes you when you walk pass by. Breakfast is good, you get to pick from a menu, and they make it hot and fresh for you which I like. If I was to come to Laos again I will most likely stay here.

Welcome to Laos
It was getting towards end of season & not many tourists which although a blessing it meant not all places were open during the day But the food in Vientiane was excellent never had a bad meal

It's new and updated. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did, they were kind and extremely courteous. Great French restaurant across from the main entrance as well.
