This is a very cute hotel! It's located in the old building with a lots of character, yet the rooms are modern and super clean. The elevator is cool: it's one of those antique once with the manual doors :) The receptionist (young lady from Argentina) is very nice and friendly. She checks you in and then goes with you to your room to show you where it is and open it up for you. She makes you feel extra welcome. The location is perfect. Two blocks from the Vatican. The subway and bus stops are only couple of blocks away. Lots of nice restaurants. Do not eat at the restaurants off the main streets. Go behind into a little streets and alleys. Those will have much more delicious food and will not rip you off. My husband and I had coffee at the restaurant just across the street from the walls of Vatican and we each paid 4.5 euros for a little cappuccino!!!! bare in mind that if you get a cash out from an ATM machine, they will charge you $5 service fee. The hotel room did not have a telephone. So, if you need a wake up call, make sure to tell them at the front desk to come knock on your door instead. All in all would highly recommend this hotel!

Comfortable, well located hotel. Within a couple of miles of all the attractions in the Vatican area and easy access to the rest of Rome (on foot or by public transport). Good, safe neighborhood and lots of restaurants nearby to choose from.
We arrived at the hotel around 12.30am and the reception was still open and perfectly welcoming. All of our expectations were met to a great standard and the staff were very helpful and friendly, they also spoke very good English.
Breakfast was fantastic! There was plenty of food right until the last minute, gorgeous cakes and pastries and the coffee was to die for!
The room was slightly small but that's just the luck of the draw, we stayed for a week and it wasn't a real drawback. The facilities in the room were great, only thing that there wasn't an iron or kettle but you can request an iron and board when needed. The room had sky but most channels were in Italian. Wifi was free, it wasn't fantastic but it did the job and allowed Internet access as long as you are patient (it was faster downstairs in the breakfast bar).
The location was great! The hotel is located on the Vatican side of the river Tiber, approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the Vatican museums. Walking the other way to the colosseum, the walk was around 40-50 minutes long. Public transport isn't necessary for the major sites! It is in a safe and lovely location too so walking back to the hotel late at night wasn't an issue.
Overall, the hotel was wonderful and helped make our holiday perfect!
