“Great place to stay!”

I just love this place. I found that the people at the front desk were nice and very helpful when I asked for some recommendations and when I needed a few extra things, I thought the cleaning gals were great and very responsive. The location is terrific, near restaurants and not a far walk from places I want to go. The price is great too, especially since it includes parking (which I used) and the continental breakfast (which I didn't). And I was pleased to be upgraded upon my arrival. My best friend and I enjoyed our stay. We heard an unpleasant person ream someone at the front desk but I can't imagine what she really had to complain about. Perhaps this just isn't her type of place. Who knows? One small suggestion is that it would be great to be able to order new movies on the TVs. Other than that, this is my third visit in 4 years and I was very happy. It was the first time my best friend had been here and she thought it was a great find.

“couldn't have been treated better”

This hotel is located downtown, offers free parking, and you can walk to almost all attractions. We had to walk only 1-2 blocks for a wide variety of ethnic foods and high quality restaurants. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Our bed was warm and had real comforters! Umbrellas were available for use (free) as was the lending library. (we went in November) The kitchen was supplied with all you would need to cook for yourself. The complimentary breakfast offered all you need to start the day. We consider ourselves very lucky to have stayed there.

“Conveniently located and good value !”

The property may be a little tired but comfortable. Well located to downtown and the local sites. King size 1 bedroom suite gave a solo traveller ample room, with a balcony overlooking the water. Great coffee just around the corner...and not a generic outlet! Ideal for a solo traveller.

“Would definitely stay again”

We were lucky to be surprised with an upgrade to a 1 bedroom and it was great, plenty of room for the 2 of us and comfortable. We were on a low floor and looked out onto the car park behind - was not a problem for us. Front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was v.good, a selection of breads/bagels etc and condiments; drinks, cereal and fruit which you took back up to your room as you have a kitchen area & table. Only about a 10 minute or less (downhill) walk to Sunset Beach, where there is a stop for the ferry to Granville Island. Another 10 minutes to English Bay and the start of Stanley Park. About a 20 minute walk to Canada Place (cruise terminal), so slightly less for Robson St. - all this makes a great location in our book. Plenty of eating places in the surrounding area. We really enjoyed C-Lovers Best Fish & Chips in Town on Denman - chicken strips were excellent too. We would definitely come back when we are in Vancouver.

“Going Back to this one for Pride”

Was here for Vancouver Pride. Just one block from Davie St. walking distance to parade route. Amazing view from the Suites which are Floors 7 and up. Easily can share the suite with friends. The suite I had had two sofa beds in the living area as well as a king size bed. Continental breakfast was okay, but those we don't really expect much anyway.

“Wonderful stay, ALL 5s!!”

Wonderful stay, great staff, comfortable and well maintained furnishings. Fans in livingroom and bedroom were wonderful addition. Suggested, near produce market ... eggs and cheese and terrific little kitchen helped stretch their continental breakfast into a great meal. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to several wonderful restaurants. Very secure building with very secure parking. Comfy bed and 3 restful nights. Great value for the money!

“Will stay again”

Much better than expected. Free parking and free wireless is what convinced me to stay here rather than where my travel agent had originally picked out for me. Room also had a kitchen so I could make my own meals as well, with a store just a block away. A close distance to the expo and start of the Vancouver marathon was a bonus. Lots of good eats nearby as well.

“Sunset Inn and Suites a must”

I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Vancouver. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us many ideas for activities around the area and places to eat, even printing out bus schedules and showing us directions on a map. The room was more than adequate with a fully equiped kitchenette and dining area. We only stayed one night, but I would definately recommend them for longer stays. Our only problem was the number of beds (due to my error in reserving) but the staff were quick to semd up a rollaway, which worked out great.

“Christmas in Vancouver”

We stayed here for 5 days in December. The hotel is a bargain in Vancouver, which is an expensive place to visit. Every room has a kitchenette and the hotel is close to the Aquatic Center water taxi stop to Granville Island which has a world class public market where you can get great fresh food and produce. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the cost of the room includes free parking! Try it you'll like it. Oh one caveat, ask for a south facing room, we had a north facing room, and though it wasn't bad, it's directly above an alley with it's attendant garbage truck noises. Look up though and you can see Grouse Mountain and North Van!
