Property Amenities
Located a mile from downtown Vancouver and three miles from Stanley Park, this marina-side hotel on Granville Island is within steps of the lively Granville Public Market.
In addition to its in-house brewery, restaurant, and fitness center, the Granville Island Hotel's biggest asset is its waterfront location on False Creek. Formerly an industrial park, the island has been transformed into an urban marketplace with parks, theaters, studios, and numerous restaurants. Street performers provide free entertainment daily.
A public community center located a few steps from the hotel provides discounts to hotel guests looking for exercise classes. High-speed Internet access is available at a workstation in the lobby, at no charge.
Room Amenities
Dining
Dockside Brewing Company - In this ocean-view restaurant that's as popular with locals as it is with visitors, alder-grilled salmon and prime Angus steak compete with gourmet thin-crust pizzas cooked in traditional Italian wood-burning brick ovens. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it features a 50-foot aquarium and floor-to-ceiling windows. Weather permitting, guests can enjoy lunch or dinner on the 208-seat patio, which has heat lamps and sweeping views of the city and harbor.
Dockside Pub - Plush, leather-and-mahogany furnishings and a fireplace set the mood in this casual and intimate retreat that's open daily. Offers lunch and dinner from the Dockside kitchen as well as nine types of beer produced by the hotel's own brewery. House favorite? Chili squid.

“Absolutely Loved It”
I would gladly recommend this hotel. The rooms were modern yet comfortable, the staff went out of their way to be accomodating and the location is perfect. We had so much fun on Granville Island, we never went into other partds of Vancouver. The bistro in the hotel had exactly what everyone wanted (and that hardly ever happens). For such a short break, we really felt like we got away and had a vacation.
“Granville Island Hotel - a little noisy”
Everything was great with two exceptions. You can hear your neighbor's door close....every singe time. Breakfast was always nice; dinner was anything but. The staff never smiled. I felt that I was an inconvenience for them to wait on me. Food was acceptable. I would dismiss the entire night staff. I watched them during dinner. They were never accommodating or friendly to the people that were obviously paying part of their wages. I watched as several customers had to go and get their servers for simple thing like a dessert menu or just to get their water refilled. The breakfast crew was completely opposite; too bad they can't also do the dinner service. A major travel magazine here in Texas wanted to know my experience. I'm planning to give it to them; all of it. Skip dinner at the Granville Island Hotel. There are far better places nearby to be appreciated for your attendance....!
“Great Location”
Overall nice stay.
“Great View, great beds”
This is a wonderful hotel. I have stayed there many times and have always been comfortable there. The setting for the hotel - in the middle of the False Creek- is interesting and the view from the restaurant looks out over the water. The rooms are clean and well maintained. They are especially pleasant if you ask for a room with a balcony.
“Expensive restaurant”
Granville Island is an expensive place. The hotel's restaurant is probably the most expesive restaurant on the Island. Unless you have a special reason for sleping on the Island (or don't have car), choose a much cheaper off-iland hotel.
“Very nice hotel”
Nice hotel.. very small rooms though. Granville Island market is amazing!
“amazing location”
I needed a hotel near Kitsalano neighborhood for a funeral. This was the closest I could find. It was wonderful. Easy walk to Granville Island Market. Easy drive to anywhere in Vancouver. Beautiful rooms with busy seaport views.
“Great Location and Service”
Great waterfront location. Appreciate staff's helpfulness in locating local attractions and businesses.
“Granville Island Hotel”
Great place to stay. For the most part it is comfy, convenient and close to lots of interesting things to do.The rooms do need one comfy chair though.
“Christmas in Vancouver”
With all the travel delays and mounds of snow, our stay at the Granville Island Hotel was our port in the storm. The staff were great, room was comfortable and the area can't be beat!
