About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Jewel of the Valley

## Space

Located near the end of Coopers Creek Road in Upper Coopers Creek, this gorgeous but simple property sits in the middle of beautiful tropical surrounds. Listen to the sound of nature, whether it be the creek that runs all year round (less so in the dry season and more so when it rains), the kookaburras that start and end your day, the frogs, cicadas, birds and more.

## Access

Guests have full access to the house, pool and the surrounding gardens. The studio building next to the creek is off limits (it is just used for storage, there is no one else on the property when you are there).

## Interaction

Minimal interaction with guests - however, should there be a need, your neighbours David and Isabel can be on hand to help out.

## Neighborhood

Upper Coopers Creek is situated just over half an hours drive from Mullumbimby, located close to the beautiful Minyon Falls waterfall and walking track.

## Transit

You will most probably want to arrive by car, although we have had some people arrive by bicycle. We do have about 2km of unsealed road prior to our house, but these are in pretty good condition. Just take your time, especially around the corners.

## Notes

Being in the heart of nature means you may experience different bugs than you may be used to. On the most part they shouldn't be a problem, but be sensible - for example - be careful if you choose to have a picnic that you don't locate next to a nasty ants nest. While snakes have been sighted on this property - they do not like the sound of humans and will keep to themselves. Plus we encourage Kookaburras who love to feed on them. Ticks and leeches are rare (but do happen) - however, they generally prefer more furry wildlife. It is probably wise if you go walking to wear long sleeves, pants and insect repellent.

We have a lovely wood fire place and set up each guest with one nights worth of wood. If you wish for more please bring your own or there is an amazing delivery service from our neighbours - details are next to the fire place. Alternatively we have reverse cycle heating, radiator and other heaters as well and our power is 100% renewable and also carbon offset. So you don't need to use the fireplace if you don't want to.

This was our 3rd visit, overall it still is a great place to stay, will be back.
We rented for 5 nights this was done with ease, we decided to see if we could extend after checking sight for availability we thought this would be easy, not so as it took ages for people to respond, the price per night increased from advertisement by $50 / night ( 285 to 335), I thought they may have double charged cleaning fee they say no, so that soured the break hopefully they can sort that out, plus contact number was a Qld base but sent through to overseas I think. Out of the way and beautiful
This property is very beautiful and really well appointed. It has a great bed and great kitchen. The gardens and stone walls enclose the house and the bird life is plentiful. It takes some time to get to it but is worth it.
