Hotel feels dated. Service is not what one would expect from a 4 star property. When asked for a corkscrew, was told one must purchase one. Breakfast is good.

The hotel is located in an area that was convenient for us to reach a wide range of alpine areas. It was a large establishment frequented by tour groups and conferences. The beautiful flower boxes made it a landmark of beauty in the town. We appreciated the balcony and found the room adequate. Missed tea or coffee facilities and no air con. The bedding was too warm for the warm autumn weather. Breakfast was good and staff friendly.

Very nice hotel. Beautiful setting. Staffs are fantastic. foods are good. Highly recommends this hotel. If I come back, I will pay extra for a room with view.

Very expensive for less
Disappointed with our experience here. This was the most we've paid for a hotel in Europe and it wasn't worth it. The bathrooms are so old and need updates. I didn't want to take a shower in the bathtub! The beds were uncomfortable. The building itself could use some updates. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. There are better places to stay in this area and I wouldn't spend the money to stay here again.

The hotel was a lot better than expected
The hotel was great, the staff was great. I had breakfast and dinner everyday... it was excellent. Sauna and swimming pool were amazing as well

Outstanding view
Great hotel on a hillside with beautiful views of the lower valley. We stayed one night because we were touring through the Black Forrest. We had a balcony room on the north side and well worth the extra euros for the balcony view room. Free Parking and close access to a nearby ski resort. We stayed in late September so there was great hiking and walking trails through the countryside and into the ski area. Peter and the restaurant staff were outstanding. Had our evening meal at the hotel and it was great.

The hotel is on the outskirts of Bad Kohlberg. Good English is spoken (and bad German tolerated generously) by helpful, courteous and friendly staff. The restaurant is good, and reasonably priced. The breakfast is INCREDIBLE. Expect to take a good hour or so feasting. The pool and sauna are good, though a little tired looking. The decor is generally a bit tired. It was a last minute reservation so I think perhaps our room wasn't cleaned, or not cleaned thoroughly. Certainly glasses were dirty but most unpleasantly there was urine on the back of the bathroom door. We were set up for camping so I just cleaned it up and really, I don't blame the hotel for the behaviour of the previous occupant and the back of the door is easy to miss.

Lovely Bavarian hotel
Hotel Schillingshof is a lovely Bavarian hotel near Oberammergau. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It has a pool and a very good restaurant. Best of all, the staff is fantastic - lovely, friendly and professional. Richard our host was attentive and made my Happy Birthday celebration very special. An authentic Bavarian gem.

Schönes Hotel, gute Lage, gutes Frühstück. Zum Teil waren die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und im Restaurant sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber wir haben auch unfreundlichere Mitarbeiter erlebt. Schade, dass in einem Hotel, dass mit Wellness wirbt, die Anwendungen gar nicht stattfinden, wenn eine Mitarbeiterin im Urlaub ist. Für ein Wellness-Hotel sollte eine Urlaubsvertretung möglich sein. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Gute Ausgangslage für Touren in die Umgebung. Schwimmbad/Saune war aufgrund von Corona nur begrenzt verfügbar und wurde von mir nicht genutzt Bei Bezug meines Zimmers war dieses nicht gesaugt und unter dem Bett lag ein Bonbon sowie eine Kondomhülle Wer nicht im Hotel Abendessen (höheres preissegment) möchte sollte sich darauf einstellen, dass im Ort lediglich noch ein itlalienisches, ein indisches Restaurant gibt. Die Guggenbergalm (fußläufig zum Hotel) ist sehr stark frequentiert und ab ca 17h auch nur noch mit Reservierung aufsuchbar

Am Abend einen Parkplatz zu bekommen war eine Katastrophe.Es wurde darauf hingewiesen, einen Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage zu nutzen für 7,00 € den Tag. Im Zimmer wurde an manchen Stellen nicht geputzt und im Badezimmer lagen Haare auf dem Fußboden ( ekelig ). Es gab aber auch etwas positives: - Servicekräfte insbesondere die Damen, sehr gut. - Schöne Lage des Hotels

Bon hotel
Accueil moyen personne ne parlant qu allemand et pas anglais ni francais. Serveur par contre qui parle francais et très agréable. Attention si vous arrivez apres 21h, plus de repas ni restauration possible. Joli emplacement et chambre confortable.

Sehr gute Lage. Ruhige Zimmer. Ein sehr moderner Ruheraum. Abendessen Buffet: Leider nur bis 21 Uhr. Dessert war beits früh sehr vergriffen. Da wir erst um 20 Uhr eine Reservierung erhalten hatten, wurde aus einem schönen Abend ein gestresstes Essen mit entäuschten Gesichtern am Desserbuffet.

Das Hotel ist teilweise schon etwas abgewohnt durch viele asiatische Reisegruppen, welche in großer Anzahl dort eintreffen. Das Personal ist freundlich, die ständige Fragerei nach Zimmernummern vor Erhalt von Leistungen ist aber teilweise schon recht nervig. Schwimmbad und Liegewiese hinter dem Hotel sind aber zu empfehlen, genauso wie Restaurant und Bar.

Tolle Aussicht von den Zimmern mit Talblick die aber mit einem erheblich hoheren Preis zu bezahlen ist. Die Aussenliegen des Schwimmbads waren wegen Rasenpflege nicht nutzbar. Der Fitnessraum war nicht nutzbar. Personal an der Rezeption nicht sonderlich freundlich. Die langen Gange zu den Zimmern rochen etwas muffig. Preis-Leistungsverhaltnis nicht OK

Ok hotel, good located.
Excellent breakfast, good restaurant. swimming pool was nice but the water was little to cold. Be aware that only a few parking places a free. And if late arrival you must pay for staying in the garage for 7€ /day, or the public parking 5€/day.

Tolle Lage, prima Hotel.
Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt im Hotel Schillinghof. Sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter und Hotelbesitzer. Außerordentlich freundliche Mitarbeiter. So wünsche ich es mir, wenn ich eine Auszeit buche. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet, für jeden etwas dabei. Einzig der Pool war etwas zu kühl. Uns wurden aufmerksamerweise für meine kleine Tochter eine Poolnudel und Schwimmflügel gebracht, die hatte ich leider daheim vergessen. Toller Service. Vielen Dank.

Nettes Hotel direkt am Berg Zudem gibt es ein tolles Frühstück. Der Wellnessbereich ist mit Sauna und Hallenbad gut ausgestattet Die Wassertemperatur hätte allerdings ein paar Grad mehr sein können.
