"Our stay at the InterContinental Mauritius Resort was absolutely exceptional and one of the best family vacations we have ever had. From arrival to departure, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made us feel welcome and truly cared for. Special thanks to Khushi at check-in for the smooth welcome, and Arun for his warm greetings and help with luggage. Dining was a major highlight. As vegetarians, we were extremely impressed by the variety, freshness, and quality of food. In our opinion, this is probably the best 5-star resort in Mauritius for vegetarians. Huge thanks to chefs Surya, Suresh, and especially Jaywantee for the outstanding food and hospitality. Special mention to Swapnali at Veda for her wonderful service. A very special heartfelt thank you to Vimla at Senso Buffet for her exceptional service, kindness, and attentiveness every day—she truly made our stay memorable. Thanks also to Moupiya, Ajay, Issen, Naveen, Sajpal, Govinda, Hareesh, Dipesh, Reshma, and RamGopal for excellent buffet service. The spa with Purnima, Anjanee, and Danish was relaxing and excellent. "We honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Oberoi Beach Resort. From the start everything felt so special and effortless - we genuinely could not fault a thing. What made the experience unforgettable was the people. Every single member of staff was so warm, kind, and attentive, always going above and beyond. The resort itself is stunning beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to completely switch off. The daily activities were fabulous and added so much to the experience. Sculpture making and painting class were our favourites. We loved going to breakfast every morning, the menu is divine. What makes this place even more special to us is that we got engaged here. It could not have been a more perfect. Thank you Aditya for helping my partner to pull it off! Also thank you to Regini, Harsha, and Rachel - the sweetest housekeeping team ever. Your kindness and attention to detail made us smile everyday! We are already dreaming of coming back one day. Thank you Oberoi"

"I had a wonderful vacation in the Resort, and my overall experience was excellent. The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Mauritius. I would like to give a special thank you to the housekeeping supervisor for his outstanding service. Late at night, around 12:00 a.m., when some food was accidentally spilled on the deck, he personally came to assist. He brought a mop and cleaned the area himself with great care and professionalism. This level of dedication, especially at such a late hour, truly reflects the high standards and genuine hospitality of the resort staff. Moments like this made my stay even more special. I truly appreciate the kindness and responsiveness of the team, and I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for excellent service and a memorable vacation in Mauritius."

Superb private villa 'foot in the water' - Free WiFi

"The villa, pool and pool area were just as described and very clean with air conditioning in all the bedrooms (a must in summer temperatures!). The villa was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for an extended stay. In terms of location, the area is generally quite peaceful although there is not much by way of restaurants/bars in the immediate area so transport is a necessity if you want to eat out. That said, we decided not to hire a car and instead used a local taxi driver who was very reasonable and extremely reliable for trips to shops and sightseeing.A small negative for us was that we found the mattresses on the beds to be rather hard and uncomfortable. While we appreciate mattress preferences vary, there was only a very thin mattress protector under the bottom sheet so the owners might want to think about investing in some decent mattress toppers to give guests a better nights sleep.Mary, the housekeeper, was great, she was very responsive and quickly dealt with any issues as they arose. Over the one month period, the villa, gardens and pool were cleaned and maintained regularly. This villa is not ‘in the thick of things’ but we found it perfect for a relaxing break in the sun."
