Thought with it being called downtown that is where it would be instead of the outskirts, worried that my vehicle was not safe. Food that should have been hot (eggs, potatoes, sausage) was cold (at 7:45am).

The room smelled like smoke, and the confit had a cigarette burn on it. The breakfast was good and the check in staff was nice.

Staff was friendly, Room was clean, they are in the process of updating. Walls needs fresh paint. but overall the room itself was OK. We had a no smoking room. But there was a smokestack outside of the rooms and people were smoking and the smoke was coming into our room. And you could smell someone smoking weed every time you went outside. Location was not in the best part of town I think. Felt a little unsafe.

During our visit in Johnson City my wife had an accident that caused a broken arm.while we were out and about. We were staying on the 2nd floor. The desk clerk Andrea Crum, saw my wife,s condition and moved us to a handicap room on the 1st floor and went all out to ensure we had everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Ms Crum is a true example of customer service

My friend and i were coming into town for one night. I made this purchase the night before, online. There were only 3 or 4 pictures, and the one of the bedroom was completely misrepresented. I'd accidentally purchased a "smoking" room". That being said, the outside of the building was showing quite a bit of wear. Check in was fairly quick, though the woman at the desk took my credit card for "incidentals". That, to me, would be things purchased, beyond the one-night contract. Iwas told much later, after I'd already paid, that they took a $100 deposit as a security deposit! They were absolutely non-transparent and NEVER made this clear! As we approached our room, we were met by a gentleman in his 50's staying in the room next to ours, with a much younger girl he called his "daughter". She was sitting in a heap on one bed, surrounded by snacks and trash. She was clearly an addict. The room was so off-putting the minute we turned on the light, that we almost turned around. We should have. There were burn marks littering the carpet, a burn mark in the sheet, walls crumbling, and nasty, stain-covered mattresses. We were told by the woman at the desk that they didn't give refunds. When I told her the condition of the room, her answer was simply "Its a smoking room", as if that excused is rundown condition, and unsafe neighbors. I'm strongly considering filing a complaint with the BBB, and a report with the health department.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. The exterior of the hotel was repainted this year and we clean the grounds daily. We would have been happy to give you a non-smoking room but you did not give us the chance. Lastly, all of our rules, including deposit information, is clearly stated on all booking sites.

Not so much
Had issues with the door lock had to go back to front desk to get it fixed. Very run down room. Carpet was gross. Holes in the wall in the bathroom and the tv did not work at all. Would not recommend.

Stayed here numerous times. Staff is always professional and friendly. Unexpectedly needed a bed for my grandson who was not coming originally. When I was told there was no roll away bed, the sofa was fine but I was give 2 fitted sheets as linens snd told we could use one of the pillows from the king bed but no blankets available. When we had to leave unexpectedly the next day early and checked out around 8:30 I was told the hotel could not refund that day I needed to contact Hotels.com. Their cancel policy stated it was up to the hotel. We didn’t use anything but the beds…no shower…and 2 cuos for coffee for the $200! We won’t be staying there again. While I understand Quality Inns are a no frills option snd I’m ok with that, I don’t like the changes that continue such as the $100 security deposit for everybody when I have stayed there for years!! Ridiculous…Am I gonna steal one of the two thread bear towels you give me? It’s all too much for what you offer in too many ways. Again…staff is great. Policies are crap!

I'll be honest we really hate that it has come to the point that across the board we have to do the security deposit. Literally because some folks have zero respect for stuff. Unfortunately with new staff people don't know the ones that have been coming here for years. I'm the longest employee here if honestly if I didn't know you I would have to charge you. A lot of hotels have started doing this. I have also informed upper management that we need to order blankets, which now has been completed. I apologize that you didn't have one. I will go over what they gave you with the staff for the bed. As far as early check out it is a 24hrs notice. This is regardless of hotels.com or thru hotel. We understand you are upset and I hope by this reply that you get a better understanding. We hope to make it up to you in the future. Thanks.

The photos are either old or filtered. The room smelled bad, the toilet leaked, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. There were spiders on the bathroom floor. The bed was lumpy. Luckily we were only here for one night. If you are looking for a place to stay in Johnson City keep looking!

MOTEL not Hotel
First of all, this is NOT a hotel. Doors face outside, which was very disappointing. There were so many things wrong with this place, I don’t know where to start. Usually I’m not too picky on hotels, but this place was gross. The carpets need to be deep cleaned or replaced. They were so filthy our feet turned black. Mold on ceiling, dirty walls, burn holes on bedspreads, bathroom door didn’t shut, toilet ran and bathtub leaked, and an overall musty odor. I will say the beds were comfortable, but that’s the only thing it had going for it. Location was decent. Priced much too high for what we got. Unfortunately, we had a non-refundable five-night stay. Also looks like we were charged twice, which I’ll now have to get fixed. So glad to be out of there and I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone!

The hotel is located near university, downtown and several outdoor activity site. The room was clean and staff was friendly. The second floor rooms have a balcony with a nice view of the mountains.

The room was filthy. Multiple hairs from what looked like different people in the shower. Blanket on bed under the comforter was stained. Floor bad crumbs everywhere. Room reeks of cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room.

Good condition for the age of the hotel. Needs some more updates to the Rooms. Maintenance needs work. Toilet loose and Pool Hand rail dangerously loose. But other than that, not bad for the price.

We needed a clean and comfortable place to stay that was near East Tennessee State University. This place is clean and a decent place to stay. The cost was reasonable too. The beds were especially comfortable. We will be back to visit ETS and we will definitely try to stay here. It’s not the Four Seasons, but if you need a nice bed and breakfast, this is a great place
