Early closure of reception without adequate notice
I've stayed here before without any issues. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for my last visit. The hotel states that the reception closes at midnight - if you're going to be later to contact them for the code to get the keys. This has worked well for me in the past when I've had a late flight . On this occasion my flight arrived at Malaga about 7.45pm so I knew I would make it to reception with plenty of time. I arrived at the hotel at around 8.30pm. The front door was locked but I was soon greeted by a rude overweight grumpy gentleman ranting on to me that reception was closed. I was in no mood for a confrontation about their reception times so gratefully accepted my room keys and went up to my room . Later that evening I logged into my emails and discovered an email sent that day at 3pm from the hotel telling me the reception would close at 8pm instead of midnight . My issue with this is, if you're on a flight you're not going to have access to your emails or you might be someone that doesnt have access to the internet whilst travelling. It is unacceptable to change your reception opening times at such short notice. I appreciate someone was there to let me in but it was clear to me the attitude of the staff member was hostile & rude because he thought I was in the wrong. This adds insult to injury. Also, the tv didnt work, cold shower & there was smoke coming from another room which was unpleasant for a non smoker. Went down to reception to report but no one there.

Sentimos las molestias que ese cambio de horario pudo ocasionarle, no sé que pasó realmente puesto que nunca se informó al resto del personal de esta situación, yendo punto por punto de sus quejas, si el agua salía fría sería porque varios huéspedes se ducharon antes y el calentador estaba recargando agua. Para el tema del humo de una habitación, te invito a llamar a la policía la próxima vez, ya que, está prohibido fumar en nuestro establecimiento y lo dice la ley.Lamentamos los hechos ocurridos y que no tubiera una buena experiencia, desde el personal de recepción pedimos disculpas.

The staff/ owners .. Successfully managed to rip me off for 1 night's stay. I would really like to say The Malaga Inn had a stranded persons interest at heart, but in Truth? .. if it wasn't for ebookers EXCEPTIONAL services .. I would be in a world of Hell (still am but only 3 nights to survive and I'll be flying home) The "lady" I was talking to (at same time as re booking 2 more nights via you) was trying to tell me the only "Available Rooms" were the most expensive She almost fainted & definitely changed colour as I watched her receive & read the invoice & booking number for an extra 2 nights .. as she was lying to my face! I understand if it is probably not in your remit to contact them in a "complaints procedure" way They NEED to be either excluded from your suggestions or reminded that if it wasn't for your recommendations, they would be dead in the water (so to speak) Thank you Hanina Kooraram

Staff tried to be helpful. 24/7 desk is a good idea. Parking was not available just because other guests parking way was unacceptable ( they didn't leave enough space). The room was very simple but clean, our bed was very uncomfortable, street nearby very noisy.

Novel experience
Interesting place. We were not aware they catered to hunchbacked little people. The bed was concave and so short our legs hanged outside. The breakfast consisted of stale toast, crumbled cereals an cheap instant coffee. Highly recommended if your into excruciating back pain and aching knee caps.

I´m sorry that you were too tall for the standardized, normal sized bed. Breakfast is free, nothing is charged as it is a complimentary service, and complies with the regularities of health and service, unfortunately we do not agree with your claims of the bread being stale, nor the cereal being crumbled, as we lay out fresh both the bread and cereal every single morning. In the kitchen where breakfast is served, we have 3 coffee machines in which the coffee is made, we have never served instant coffee, because to whisk together every single guests coffee in a mug all morning would be incredibly time consuming. Nonetheless, we appreciate your equally as interesting review and hope to see you again if your back permits!

Very welcoming staff. Free hot drinks and use of basic kitchen. Close to town centre. The wifi was a bit erratic in my room, and it was very cold at night. I probably would stay again though.

Hostal with a Heart
I arrived 2.00am as there was a queue tp get my hire car and was able to gain entrance. The manager noticed I had difficulty with the stairs and moved me from the 3rd to the 1st floor the next morning. All the staff were cheerful, helpful and chatty. I was able to use the hostel's parking space most of the time. I could get a filtered coffee at any time and usually a wee bun or a biscuit. Although Christmas was not the manager's thing!!! He purchased poinsettias for each floor and the reception and hostel was very festive.

I only used it as a place to sleep. The room was very basic and very very small for a twin bed room. But it did the job. It took some finding but basically its up the hill from behind Murpys bar. Bear straight left behind Murphys bar, cross the road and walk up the hill and you will come across it in one of the side streets. The Lass on night shift was a pleasure to talk to, but cant say more than that as it was just a stop gap until my proper hotel had my room available.

No volvemos,está claro Encuma te piden fianza, aunque hemos pagado previamente todo Fianza de q ? De armario sin puertas o baños compartidos? No creo q expediano lo sabe como nos engañan

El estado de las habitaciones es totalmente distinto al de las fotos,la habitación para pareja es enana, apenas teniamos sitio para dejar las maletas y movernos por la habitación, el baño estaba en estado regular, las perchas del “mueble” estaban llenas de telarañas y polvo. En la habitación hace incluso más calor que en el resto del edificio y todo huele a humedad. Al menos las chicas son amables, pero no merece nada la pena el precio. Literalmente en la habitación donde nos quedamos yo no pagaría mas de 5€ la noche.
