The Templar will not be for everybodybut if you like simple clean lines and ultra modern architecture the Templar will be for you. It is quiet, private, unusual, simple and yet exotic. There is virtually no staff but the lady at the front desk was extremely nice and very helpful. I read the reviews before we booked the hotel and a few people were not happy with it. It has no fluff. It's concrete, steel and glass and that's how it was designed. I LOVED the hotel and I would recommend it to anybody looking for something different.

This hotel has character... Admittedly it's the character of a 19th Century manor house whose family has fallen on hard times - but compared the the blandness and uniformity of most hotels, it's a welcome change. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff aren't big on friendliness, but that fits perfectly with the English-style architecture.
Very good service, no surprises except one thing: The room always smelled of old cigarette smoke when I came back to it at night. Other than that, this was an excellent choice for me, as I needed a room, a WiFi internet connection and not much else.
Wife and I had a guaranteed reservation but the front desk said they had a delay in finding us a room. After twenty minutes. They apologized for the delay, covered the $40 valet parking and upgraded us to a one bedroom suite which was great.
