Downtown Toronto Hotel and Suites

"Unfortunately, the property was not on the same level as other properties advertised in the same category. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced and the elevator looks more like a freight elevator. When we got to our room the door lock was flipped so the room was open. So the bathroom lights and a lamp on, it looked like someone was in our room. It scared us. Nobody was in the room but it was still creepy with a curtain over a giant window looking into the shower from the bed. Our room did not have toilet paper - when we asked the desk, we were told the hotel ran out of toilet paper so we were to use tissues from tissue box they dropped off. Plus there was no hand soap - the front desk person tried his best with what he could access and that was an industrial looking jug of hand cleanser. The room was very hot and the portable air conditioner in the room was not adequate enough to make the room comfortable and it was loud. We travel often - at least once a month and this is the most disappointed we have been with a booking / room."

"Great hotel on the Waterfront! It’s a smaller property but its location can’t be beat! With being so close to the water & a central location to Roger’s Centre, Scotiabank arena & the CN Tower it’s a winner! The rooms are modern & clean & the pool & outdoor area is a bonus. Staff are very accommodating & helpful. On our next visit we will definitely be staying here again!"

"Amazing service from the moment we parked. The Valet service was great and Norbert at the Desk provided exceptional service. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff made us feel special with some simple gestures (like a late checkout). This gave us the opportunity to experience an amazing brunch the next day at Kost - the rooftop restaurant. The only suggestion that I have is to plan your exit/entry from the hotel during non-busy times for the restaurants - the demand for the brunch was high and the line-ups for the elevators can get lengthy. I will definitely return."

"Pool wasn’t operational , no remote in the room when we got there. We were expecting that the concert was at the Roger’s centre it was actually at the stadium. Definitely not the only ones who got had that issue. As the server we had at the restaurant at the hotel said we were one group of many that the same issue. Might be nice to make that more clear to ppl coming from out of town. Who assume it’s at the centre when it’s actually at the stadium an hour away."

"This place had no AC despite having AC on the description. Hosts told us it was being installed this weekend for the entire building, but we left on Sunday and there was still no AC. The rest of the building had AC, just not the apartment. The apartment was 85 degrees when we walked into it, quite literally a sauna. The owners had told us they would bring us 2 fans on our first night, which they did not and did not answer us after that when we asked where the fans are. Nobody slept all night because of how hot it was in the unit. Made for a very uncomfortable stay. Overall very poor communication from the hosts. Would not stay here again."
