This was our second stay at a Hotel Monaco, the first one being in Portland, OR. Despite arriving for check-in during their hospitality hour, we were greeted courteously and on our way to our room (with a glass of wine) within a few minutes. Very well appointed hotel with a partial view of the Salt Lake City Temple just four blocks away. It seemed to be a crowded and busy weekend, but we never felt the impact. Kimpton's Monaco-line of Hotels is quickly becoming a favorite!
We would not change a thing about our stay!! From the Front Desk to the Operator to Housekeeping we give 5 Stars!! THANK YOU Marriott City Center!!! (One note: This Marriott is NOT the Marriott across from the Salt Palace!! - but the Salt Palace is easily accessible via Trax from the City Center Marriott)
We got this hotel at a great rate due to a last minute booking. The beds were very comfortable and due to a late hr arrival (930pm) we ordered room service. The meal was good but pricey as to be expected. The meal cost was average but several fees were added on. The bathroom was a comfortable size and clean. This location was good too. I would recommend this room to anyone
"Despite the construction going...service was great"
We had a little late check in. Staff was great about it though. They even helped us out with a 1 p.m. checkout. Even though there was lots of construction going on, the hotel was peaceful and the staff was very kind and helpful. The parking lot was even great. I would recommend the place and I will definitely be going back to this hotel on another trip to Salt Lake City.
I always stay here for my genealogy trips. This hotel is right next to the library and across the street from everything! You only have to walk about 10 minutes to a grocery store to stock the small refrigerator in your room. Everyone that works here is very helpful and friendly too. If anything could be improved it would be the restaurant attached to the hotel. The food could be a little better but other than that the restaurant is OK. This is the best place (in my opinion) to stay for a genealogy trip!
