“could have been better”

No curtain for windows. Light came in and couldn't sleep whole night as the traffic signal light also came in the room during night stay. otherwise, hotel was decent.

“Great Hotel For The Price!”

This hotel was a big surprise for us. It is newly remodeled and very clean. The staff is wonderful and we even met one one of the owners who was very gracious and kind. It is just outside the old town of Tallinn but walking to it is very easy and short. Would recommend it with no hesitation.

Area recommendations

Definetly the old town. The rest of the town is not very interesting. It is still a little bit like stepping in a country still occupied by Russia. Drap, depressing and dilapidated. The old town makes up for it and is so charming beautiful! The people there are used to tourist and most young people speak english. The food was excellent. Try an Estonian restaurant!

Getting around

No public transporation in the old town. As a matter of fact we saw very little traffic at all because the streets are vey narrow and steep. You have to walk but the old town is not very big. Take a city tour to see the rest of the city.

What to pack

Estonia is cold most of the time and it rains a lot! Last year (2009) they only had 12 days in the whole year with no rain. Pack warm and bring rain gear!
