“Great Location But Probably Not for Everyone”
First the positives: The location was a ten minute drive from the airport and well within walking distance to every sight you would want. The staff was friendly and accomodating and even arranged for a breakfast bag when we had to leave before the more-than-adequate breakfast buffet was open. Now the negatives: the room was small; very small. The bed was wedged into the space and you had to climb the length of the bed to get out since there was no room at the sides. The room was located up a set of stairs which could be a problem for some. The bathroom and shower were one big room! There was a constant smell of rotten eggs from the bathroom. There is a courtyard which is shared by the hotel and a bar and when the bar closed, all the drinkers would come down the courtyard late at night and wake us up. Also, the photos on the hotel's web site are nothing like the way our room was. For the money, it could have been much better.
“Convenient and pleasant hotel in the heart of the Old Town”
The hotel has recently been refurbished and fittings etc. are of high quality. Some of the rooms are extremely small, but bed etc. are comfortable. There are some minor glitches: The flat-screen TV is located at an angle that makes it difficult to view the image from the bed (location cannot be moved either); the sink in the bathroom is tiny -- shower is fine though. Nice breakfast. Don't confuse the Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel with the Meriton Old Town Hotel located about 10mins down the road.

great location right in the heart of the magnificent old town ! dont get your laundry done by the hotel tho. because it costs a fortune ! My room was very small but adequate for a sole traveller
