People in Takamatsu are so friendly and nice. I really enjoyed interacting with them (compared to the people in the big cities like Osaka). I enjoyed the surrounding art islands (highly recommend Ogijima) and Ritsurin Garden.
Fantastic base to visit the art islands
Safe place for solo travel, the art islands are more than worth the journey to a region you may otherwise not get to know.
