“Excellent location, great price!”

We recently stayed in this hotel before setting off on a South Pacific cruise. We knew when booking that we wanted to stay in darling harbour and initially we wanted to stay at the Novotel but could not justify the hugely inflated price. We found this hotel, and the price was reasonable so we decided to book. We were not disappointed, the location of this hotel is fantastic. The rooms are large and have great amenities. There is some noise in the evenings from people walking around but it seemed to quiet down at a reasonable hour. The hotel also offers discounted parking which is fantastic. This hotel is value for money and we would definately consider staying here again if we needed to go to darling harbour.

“Great location”

The location was great easy access to what we wanted. Room itself was pretty tired I was expecting a little more for the money I paid. I would recommend the hotel purly on the convenience to Darling Harbour but would suggest they try to get a better deal $ wise

“Would go again”

The location to Darling Harbour fabulous, everything you need is in your room, they are clean and compact, our view was a brick wall tho, but thats OK. The only thing that didnt impress me was outside your rooms, it reminded me of Alcatraz, had a very eerie feeling about it, but other than that, I would defintely go there again.

“Handy Location”

Terrific views at night of the city lights from the harbour view room. A little noisy from kids stomping on the floors. A great location and comfortably roomy.

“okay if you are happy with a basics look...lose to Darling Harbour”

I was disappointed to be honest. The room was neat and clean and quiet - no problems there. However, it is an old wool store converted and it very much has a tired and basics feel to the whole place. The room was tired in decor. Old and dull carpet. Shower leaked, tap dripped constantly, broken door on the wardrobe meant it did not close properly, no restocking of amenities on day, etc. There is no restaurant or bar or even vending machine for after hours. The interior of the hotel has a back packers or camp dormitory feel, it has not been set out nicely at all. We got a good price and for 3 days it served for what we wanted however if you are expecting some luxury for the 4 star it says it is - you will be disappointed! I was.

“Great location”

The location of the hotel was great - easy to get to everything by walking or using the monorail. The room had everything you needed but could do with some sprucing up. One of the beds had a blanket with holes in it which I thought was rather poor. It would have been better if the swimming pool was heated as it was too cold to get in. The Harbour view was absolutely beautiful.

“Would use again”

Stayed here as we went to a wedding near by. Staff were friendly. Hotel was comfortable. I would stay again.
