Nice sunset location.
We were there for one night and experienced a stunning sunset exactly like their picture. The location is excellent and the restaurant seems to be one of the best in Strahan. The best meal we had in Tasmania. They delivered a breakfast to our room as the restaurant isn't doing breakfast at present, but it was pleasant. There is a nice short bushwalk across the road, worth doing.

Our experience at the restaurant was really poor and this affected our feelings for the whole hotel. How this restaurant has received any kind of positive award is beyond belief. The menu was minute and my choice was unavailable. My eventual dish was the “beef & beer pot pie.” This was an oily, fatty mix of minimal amounts of fatty meat, cheese and, yes, oil. The hotel needed a good dusting, unless the cobwebs were thought to contribute to the rustic look. Overall, I would not recommend this place or its restaurant.

Definitely the best place to stay and to dine. Whilst you should not expect a 5 star room the accomodation is well presented and the location is wonderful. Close to walking trails and the waterfront location is superb. The food options are many, even on the set menus nights so don’t be out off by that. The very well presented and perfectly cooked food on offer was our best dining experience in the north western end of Tasmania. The staff are warm, friendly and knowledgable from the check in/out process to the ability to match wine selection to complement your dinner. Second to none in Strahan and the north west of Tasmania.

The bath had significant mould around the tiles and the basin taps both screached when turned on. Tv needs updating and reception poor. The meals at restaurant were very poor and tasteless. Would never eat there again. Stairs were poorly lit.

This is the most divine little property. The service was nothing short of amazing. Andrea was so friendly and helpful, cannot speak more highly of her. And the restaurant was sensational. Seriously the food was some of the best we had in the whole of Tasmania.

Very tired and in dire need of maintenance and care. The bed is the most uncomfortable I’ve experienced, old and worn mattress. Great location but internet photos are extremely flattering. It’s clean but very, very overpriced and not good value

The Hotel was love and the view from our cottage was spectacular. Only thing was I am partly disabled and found it difficult to have a shower and the shower is actually in a spa bath I guess the elderly would find this difficult also
