"Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good with standard choice or choice from their hungry horse menu. Room itself was quite tired and could do with an update. Particularly the furniture and bathroom."

"Rooms were very clean and well maintained, you can see that they are currently updating the property. Only "negative" I could put would be to put get some mattress toppers, but not a massive thing! The building itself was beautiful, full of character. The pub attached was excellently priced and had a great atmosphere. Kitchen isn't up and running yet but plenty of delivery options available and staff are happy to let you eat your food in the bar/ on the premises. Facilities were excellent too, though we didn't use the pool or sauna we did go and have a look and will definitely be bringing the costumes for our next visit. Everything was really clean and well kept. And the staff were all just so friendly."

"Fantastic stay, room was very comfortable and as a coeliac I requested a gluten free breakfast not from the buffet, as never trust buffet tongs when there are gluten containing items about… Tiff was fantastic and incredibly knowledgable, putting me at ease and confident about the food I received. Only stayed in passing to break a long journey but if ever in the area again then its definitely on my list of places to stay again!"

"Lovely clean quiet room. The host was very friendly, even coming out to give our daughter food to feed the fish in the pond with which she enjoyed. The breakfast was plentiful with a good range. Will stay again next time we’re in the area."
