Great place in Stanley
We had a really nice stay in Stanley at On the Terrace. It was comfortable, well appointed and in a great location, just a short walk from the pub. The owners were lovely too.

Hard to fault — a lovely place to stay
A very well-appointed and well-located place to stay in the delightful old village of Stanley. Stayed in one of the two immaculate "Waterfront" apartments at the front of the main house. Great views, king bed, level walk-in shower, excellent kitchen, comfortable lounge area. The house is located pretty much up against the brooding rock that is The Nut. It is at the east end of the town, on Alexander Terrace above the coastal road. It is about 25 metres from Hursey's Seafoods (which sells and also serves in its restaurant, the rock lobsters for which Stanley is famous. About the same distance in the other direction is the home in which was born and lived Sir Joe Lyons, Tasmania's only Australian Prime Minister. His wife was also a federal parliamentarian. A comfortable walk along the Terrace is the hotel (great steak dinners!) and the intriguing little museum, beside the pretty old church. A little further along is a park and beautiful white sand beach, with views up to the splendidly restored Highfield, home to the administrators of the Van Dieman's Land Company. Stanley is a delightful historic village that is still very much a functioning community, and I can think of no better place to stay while visiting, than On the Terrace.
On The Terrace is right near the brooding rock of The Nut.

A pleasant stay
Immaculate separate king studio next to main house and other accommodation. Comfy bed with quality linen provided. Excellent communication with owners when we had to consider a possible change to our travel plans. Very modern but cosy atmosphere. Easy access for our motorbikes, but no undercover parking available. Walking distance to all hotel and seafood restaurant. Close to beach.

We had the best stay at this facility. We were warmly welcomed by Robyn. We didn’t realise on booking that we would be staying directly at the foot of the nut. A wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Highly recommended!!

Relaxing Experience in Stanley
Beautifully situated propertt right on the waterfront providing excellent views from the unit. The room was very well kept with fresh linens and adequate cooking amenities. Paid laundry and dryer also available. Right next to Hursey Seafood and also very close walk to the historic town centre where you can see amazing preseved cottages. Also close to fairy penguin viewing platform and The Nut. Awesome place overall.

A Delightful Studio Apartment
On The Terrace is a really beautiful studio apartment in close walking distance to Stanley restaurants and shops. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Parking was right next to the front door and very convenient.

This studio apartment was a fantastic find on my one day off whilst working in Ulverstone. Went to "The Edge of the World" then Tarkine Drive ending up back in Stanley. Stayed one night, climbed the Nut, but will be back here to explore Stanley further. The studio was perfect.

Super comfortable king size bed
This spacious and beautifully furnished unit has a very comfortable king size bed. The kitchen is full size with plenty of good quality equipment for when you feel like a home cooked meal. Enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the beautiful sunset. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Husband liked the wide driveway with easy parking.

History and Tranquility
This was the perfect spot for an Easter break - a short walk from the quaint and historic township of Stanley, good dining options, excellent coffee and within striking distance of a drive through the Tarkine rainforest. The view across to the dock where trawlers were being readied for the next catch of delicious Tassie seafood was full of life and interest.

A great place to stay
We enjoyed a relaxing stay of 4 nights at On The Terrace. Our hosts made us welcome and the unit was very comfortable. It was very clear that the property was well looked after from the interior right through to the garden. The view across the bay was picturesque. We would highly recommend On The Terrace to anyone visiting Stanley.

Far exceeded our expectations. Fantastic views, high quality furnishings, super comfortable bed, lots of little extras to use if needed, and the best seafood sensation restaurant next door. Wish I had stayed longer. We will be back to stay and eat more scallops. We could of stayed very comfortably in the studio unit for a week.

6 Star Accommodation.
This is 6 Star accommodation, the Villa was beautifully presented, in a stunning position in the beautiful historic town of Stanley. The owners of this accommodation are to be commended, they are professional, and this is evidenced when you go through the front door of the Villa. They have thought of everything. Highly recommend, and we are difficult to please!

Stanley - Cosy stay
The apartment was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The bedding/Manchester was of a high quality. It is an easy walk to the shops. We had a lovely meal at the nearby Stanley Hotel and even won a raffle prize.
