Bluebeard's Castle Resort

"This was our first trip to St. Thomas, so it was very much a "get oriented with the island" vacation. Between flights and layovers, travel time was nearly 14 hours overnight, and there is no early check-in accommodation. Bluebeard's Castle has more of a historic hotel vibe than a resort atmosphere. The pool area could use some updating, and adding music, hammocks, or a lounge area would make waiting for rooms more enjoyable since check in is 3–4 PM. Our bay-view room was lovely with a balcony. I highly recommend requesting an upper-floor room, as some ground-level rooms overlook the parking lot instead of the harbor. The hotel sits on a steep hill along a busy road, making walking difficult. Taxis are charged per person and cost us several hundred dollars a day, so budget accordingly. Havensight and Charlotte Amalie cater heavily to cruise ship tourism. When ships aren't in port, many shops and businesses are closed, and the area can feel surprisingly quiet. The staff, bartenders, valet team, and waitstaff were all friendly and helpful, and the food at the hotel was surprisingly good and reasonably priced. The highlight of our trip was our excursion with Snorkel Cat, recommended by the concierge. We had a fantastic time and wish we had spent more than one day on the water at private beaches. Overall, Bluebeard's Castle was a comfortable home base with beautiful views and great staff, but next time we'd likely stay somewhere more walkable and beach friendly."

"From start to finish the visit and staff were great. Got there alittle early around 130pm and Shareese checked us in early plus gave us discounted drink tkts and one free rum punch tkt for mom since she heard it was her birthday. The server bartender Randy was amazing at the restaurant, he was quick, got familiar with our drinks of choices, hotel a Dominican DJ on friday night great vibes. Hotel views are breathtaking and hotel itself had lots of cute places to take pics to take pics."
Windward Passage Hotel

"I truly enjoyed my stay at the Windward. It is close to EVERYTHING, and it’s within walking distance. Coki Beach is about a 20min drive, the Airport is 8 minutes away. There’s multiple shops, night club, restaurants, etc all within walking distance. All The staff were amazing from check in to check out. Extremely helpful with getting extra linen, suggesting spots that we could visit, and securing transportation for the beach. Melvin who’s the bartender showed us terrific hospitality. I would for sure stay here again and would recommend to anyone who is visiting St. Thomas."

"Beautiful hotel with amazing views and a great atmosphere. The property is well maintained and the staff was wonderful. My only concern was the large number of iguanas and the amount of iguana droppings around the grounds. Addressing this issue would make the experience much better. Overall, a lovely stay. The villa was perfect for big family . Have everything and the laundry perfect."

"There was no air conditioning in our room due to power outage. We were moved to another room however 2 of our guests had to sleep on the floor and the room next to ours had a leak in the bathroom that came into our room through the night"
