"Location was key for us for Fort Leonard Wood. Most hotels were in the same area. Hotel was fine, no staff at front desk. Morning breakfast was the usual and was low even in the very beginning of service. Property needs better upkeep. Price was higher due to the graduation on base."

"The plumbing broke upstairs above my bathroom the first day. It flooded my room which required me to have to switch rooms. The second room had blood stains on ALL sheets and the pad. It was on the mattress as well. The cable did not work. The ice machine broke. All dryers were out of order. There was no elevator so I had to be switched when I arrived because I have trouble walking. No one cleaned the room after I checked in. There was a wet towel behind the door in the bathroom. The lamp was broken. The shelves inside the fridge were missing. They were out of ALL breakfast foods but waffles, including the juice. The only juice was apple. They did not fill the tissue so I bought my own."

"I didn't get the name of the older lady at the front desk.. but SHE was the sweetest EVER!! I hadn't been sleep since Sunday and it was Tuesday! We had just flown from Cali to STL driven over 2 hours to the hotel, coming in for our sons graduation and she put me up on the information I needed!! Told me how to get to the base, what was for breakfast and the times & what to expect at the visitors center and even about the historic route 66 neon lights. We talked for a while she was really sweet and helpful. This hotel is very close to Walmart so if you can get a room that has a kitchen go for it!! There are food places close like the Ocean Buffet (Chinese food) their food was good larger variety, clean, and not bad on the pockets ask for discounts for military or seniors!! The grounds were clean, our room was nice, price was great and it was close to the base! Breakfast was good. Pool was clear but had a clear film on top of the water.. so we opted not to swim. Other than that..it was a great choice! Advise..If you are coming for family day and graduation.. to FLW don't check out on Graduation day.. keep your room as graduation is over at 11 and check out is at 12 there is NOTHING to do in the town or on base. Your solider wants to get off base and rest, let them come take a shower and spend alone time with you away from that base.. you'll Thank me later..lol"
