Wonderfull staff and meals, rooms are rather small but location and staff make up for that.

You get what you pay for
Very pleasant staff and the cost was reasonable Food was also very good. Rooms were tired and very basic and had no frills. No en suite amenities in room
This was the worst bed I have ever slept in, just like laying on a spring. Absolutely terrible. Staff were lovely but meals were terrible. Definitely not worth the visit
The staff were great, older style hotel, ladies 🚺 to the right men to the left. Could sit in comfort, read a book or watch tv. Climb out the window and view the surrounds.
This is an old hotel but an excellent one.
Room was great. Price included breakfast.
Staff friendly and helpful.

The bed every time you moved the creek and move the pillows chocking so bloody fat it was like not having one.the floors boards when you walk woke the dead up.
St Marys is an opportunity to experience the past. Our room was furnished with antiques in clouding the bed and the dresser (the mattress was new). The staff was attentive and friendly.
Great food but extremely basic accommodation. No en suite and creaky old beds and corridors. Many tiny rooms with just a bed in. Back to the 1950s.
However, food and beer were excellent and we saw a platypus in the stream close by which was an amazing experience for us.
Staff were friendly and nice. The locals were welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable - however, being a pub, no ensuite was expected, but the female bathroom was straight across the hall.
Property is a beautiful old building so cannot expect a modern environment. The staff and dinner were both excellent and very warm and welcoming. Unfortuately a terrible wind storm hit the town with trees down causing the loss of power later at night. The staff did an excelent job of coping with a very difficult situation.
We had a nice and restfull night here, received a nice welcome and tour around the building, clean sheets, towels, tea and coffee and breakfast was also included. Very pleased to find accomodation in this part of Tasmania :)

The staff were excellent, the food was good, but the floor board all creaked as did the bed.
Property was clean enough so worth it for the price.

Being budget accommodation, you get what you pay for but I was disappointed that the main bed had such a major angle on it. It visually sloped down towards the head. It was so bad, we slept in the bunks which then squeaked everytime someone moved, and the floorboards creaked loudly anytime anyone walked down the hallway outside the room. The 'charm' of an old building I guess.
A really charming country pub where staff and patrons made me feel completely welcome to join them in their conversations about their lives in the area. A great experience.
Great staff and hospitality. Good food. Entertainment on Sunday afternoon. Room very small but spotless.

We had a comfortable room located between the male and female bathrooms. The room was comfortable and a fairly good size. The common lounge was also a good size and there was Tea and Coffee facilities. My only concern was that the floor boards in our room were uneven and felt in need of repair as they were 'soft' underfoot in places.
Lovely pub with you getting what you paid for. However, you also got excellent customer service and owners who could not be more helpful. Excellent place to stay
Great pub accommodation with clean rooms, great food and good old country hospitality.
Tony, Bronwyn and the rest of the team make you feel welcome and go that little bit extra to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
