"Hotel unaware we were VIP so the booking was not updated with it until I mentioned.
Construction opposite hotel was not great but did not impact us too much as we were out most of the day.
Nice stay overall though. "
"Nice large hotel. Ample space at pool, lots of loungers etc.
Was in one of the older rooms so decor a little tired but completely inoffensive.
Lovely staff.
Good selection at breakfast."
"The hotel is very well appointed with friendly and efficient staff. The room is soacious, ckean abd the sound proofing is very good.
The roads in the lical area are narrow and the one way system is very confusing.
Many very good local restaurants and shops."
"I enjoyed the hotel and the lounge!! The bed was comfortable and the shower was relaxing. Unfortunately, I saw a few bugs in the bathroom when I showered. Also, there isn’t a DND sign so housekeeping woke me up daily. "

One of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed at
"This is one of the very nicest hotels we have ever stayed at, and we're much travelled over 80 year-olds!!"
"We loved our stay here the staff in opal lounge (arjanve, mary and sopo) were amazing. They suggested places to visit with kids and could not do enough for us. Rakesh in the restaurant downstairs was great he washed out babys bottle and filled it with milk, as did the ladies here.
We travelled with two small kids (2y and 4y).
Pros:
Pool was perfect for kids
Staff were always happy to help
The rooms were nice and clean
Very close to restaurants walking distance
Little bit of shopping bits around too
Not too far to other locations such as mdina and valletta
Breakfast was amazing even for me whos a vegetarian and a bit of a foodie
Cons
The area is a place for more of nightlife but we had no issues as usually our kids are in bed by 8pm
One evening the hotel water stopped (I assume this is one off)
"Private beach" is not really beachy its more of a bay with some loungers. Although this didnt bother us as the pool was much better for us.

"The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. Made my children feel at home. Upgrade to a deluxe suite on the 5th floor with great view of the pools and the sea.
The buffet breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The pool bar was nice. The food quantity and quality at Henry was very good.
Only down side is the walk into town is bit uphill but was not an issue for us or the kids. Construction work happening around the area, but did not affect our stay. "
