"The Hyatt is our preferred hotel in Birmingham. For us the location is excellent. The staff are mostly helpful. It went through a bad stage a while ago but has vastly improved recently. Room size is good. The bathrooms are a little dated. The view from the rooms is superb and we always pay more for a room on a high floor. The breakfast has long been excellent. "Grand is a very apt name for the hotel, all areas immaculate with spacious high cieling rooms and attentive staff. The only area lacking was breakfast, my Hash Brown benedict had very dried bacon, overcooked egg and you could tell the sauce had been left exposed on the hot plate too long. I'd therefore give 9.5/10 overall. "

"Lovely overnight stay in a clean and stylish room with a comfortable firm bed. Was able to sleep well despite being right near a busy main road, good soundproofing. Breakfast was a delicious and extensive buffet style with a nice range of options. The whole atmosphere was calm and trendy, with a convenient location for our stay. There were a few little odd issues like some lift buttons being damaged and TV being a bit temperamental. Could do with a little TLC in that respect but it didn't stop...

"Property was clean and tidy. Staff were all friendly. Only 2 minor things to point out. 1 bedside lamp in the room was covered in strange brown stains. And the shower could use an extra grab rail as for those with slight mobility issues could slip on the wet floor as the nearest rail is more than arms reach when stepping out of the shower. Breakfast was lovely, and much better than other local hotel alternatives. Would stay again. "
