A few days away for a special birthday and it was indeed special. Really well appointed room with balcony (morning suntrap) and sea view. Very friendly and helpful staff with special mention to Jo and Lisa who went out of their way to help us. Excellent
breakfast. Only one disappointment was that the restaurant was closed. However would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel and visiting the small village of Gorran Haven which has an amazing community spirit with volunteers running a local bus service or manning the fabulous coastal path cafe.
Beautiful hotel the new Management not so good needs a lot of sorting out. The staff are lovely but the owner has some odd ideas. Food and menu poor same menu every day.

Disliked: Staff & service
llawnroc poor
pretentious and overpriced. Food was microwaved chilli with rock hard rice. Details were sent in advance but had to provide again at check in. 1 person attending bar, serving in restaurant and doing reception. for the price per night charge this was very poor.
Hotel is nice and clean, Queen bed room was spacious, lovely seaside views, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was good but the menu was a bit traditional and could have done with more options such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc. Gorran Haven is a beautiful spot, beautiful surroundings, just be prepared for very narrow roads around the village but the hotel car park has plenty of room.
Lovely staff but not a luxury hotel. 3 star would be more accurate. Bar is a sports bar with football on large tvs, lounge is a sparse and make-do area, only one towel each, no toiletries in room on arrival, air-con not working etc. Food offer nothing special at all.
