“great mid range and economy level hotel”
great staff, good Indian Town area. easy to go around and convenient. Great staff and affordable. Clean room and confortable. Small room and not much windows, the Wi Fi did not work well in the room but the lobby works well. Morning call and Taxi waiting for Airpot at 5 am, no problem. I recommend for lo budget no need hustle kind a guy for short stay. sorry, no info for the breakfast because I had to leave before the breakfast time.
“Would return”
...overall very satisfied for price and location.
“Good cheap hotel nice ambience”
This is a good quaint hotel in good location closer to transport and shops. Walking distance to MRT. We enjoyed staying here. Could be a bit noisy at times when it rains but overall not bad. Good value for money and friendly staff.
“Cute Hotel”
I had a brief, unexpected stay in Singapore and choose this hotel based on a balance of price and good traveler reviews. I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is in the middle of Little India and surrounded by great food, interesting sights, and entertaining markets and shops. The hotel itself is quaint and inviting. The people were pleasant and helpful. The room was small, but big enough for my purposes. The bath was also small, but very clean. No hair dryers in room, but the front desk has some to loan out. Things to know about this hotel, however, are that it is a small hotel in an urban area, which means that it can be a bit noisy. There is a nearby mosque that has call to prayer in the morning, although this didn't bother me. What was a bit disturbing was a nearby bar with music going to the early morning hours. Also, the hotel is three floors and has no elevator. Fortunately, the front desk staff did help with three heavy bags, but their availability depends on how busy they are at the desk. Also, the bed linens and towels were rather thin and could stand to be upgraded.
“Great staff. Very clean. Poor location, No lift to floors,Room a bit dated”
As above
“Small place that leads to big experiences.”
This hotel is small and so are the rooms, but the cost in Singapore is typical. We stayed at another location for the amount of money and got much less the Perak Hotel. Plus a fairly decent breakfast is served each morning. Located in Little India offers an interesting introduction to Singapore that is away from the typical tourist spots. Perak Hotel is very near the subway system and bus lines making exploring very convenient. We were able to walk with our luggage to the bus station to journey into Malaysia for little expense. Food courts are near by and temples and mosques close, too.
“Delightful”
Great little hotel. If yoy are looking for a break from the chrome and plastic palaces and want something with a bit of character, the Perak is the place for you. The staff is very friendly and most helpful. I'll definitely stay there again!
“Quality budget hotel”
The rooms in this hotel are not large, and it is in a side street which may look a little untidy to those who have not been to Asia before. However, it is clean and just near an excellent shopping centre and also provides excellent service : my room was ready at 9 a.m. (by prior arrangement) on my arrival, and breakfast was also offered free on that morning although I had not paid for it. Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat affair with mostly basic Western food (unfortunately, in my view) such as toast and cereal. Internet and even a cable for connection are provided free in the rooms, which is also very helpful.
“strong local flavor”
This hotel is a renovated 2-storied building located very near Little India and between 2 MRT stations. The hop on- hop off tour bus stop is just 1 block around the corner.
“great place to stay, great location”
This is a lovely hotel with a helpful staff. The rooms are small but neat and have gorgeous hardwood floors. The location is very convenient and safe and if you love Indian food, you'll be in heaven (as I was!). The breakfast is fine and it's served with a smile. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a quality budget option.
