“Not impressed”

Being in the lobby, and the pool feel like being in the market place. Was hoping to stay that so that we could relax by the pool and enjoyed the rest of our holiday, instead because of the crowd, we only went to the pool once because it's too crowded. The hotel is it's over priced.

“Not worth the price”

I went there with my friend and we were expecting something special. Unfortunately, from the time of arrival till the hotel was able to change our room (we had a sea view Room but we wanted to have a city view) which was for three hours after we arrived there, the staff from the hotel couldn’t make us feel special at all. We were treated like somebody who is not appreciated. Anyway, the rooms are not special but the hotel is. The pool is unique. There is unique about the view, too. To spend the amount of money they are asking for has to be decided by each individual person. I won’t go there again. To have only a unique pool isn’t enough for a good hotel.

“Very nice hotel with almost everything in one spot”

Wish the hotel has a separate entrance for all other people other than guests. The hotel foyer is like a market place. They should have separated the public area from the guest area.

Area recommendations
Orchard Road area, we all go to Singapore for shopping mainly and food and living in Orchard Road area saves all the travelling time in that humid weather which is very uncomfortable.

“we would like to come again”

We were satisfied with everything: transport from airport to the hotel, transport to Kuala Lumpur directly from the hotel garage, good food at the breakfast, nice stuff, we even did not care, that it was little bit crowdy, of course, there are hundreds of rooms. But we expected this, so we were not disturbed by this fact. We recommend it highly.

“A great stay!”

After a lovely stay at the Swissotel Merchant Court opposite Clarke Quay we decided to splurge and have our last night in Singapore at the Marina Bay Sands. I'm pleased to report that the hotel lived up to its reputation and we thoroughly enjoyed our two days there. The check-in was fast and efficient and we were given a lovely room on the 27th floor of Tower 3 facing out to sea. The room was spacious and well appointed with a good working desk area, very comfortable beds, ample storage space (very rare in most hotels nowadays) and one of the most wonderful bathrooms I have ever seen- beautifully designed and very spacious. Obviously one of the main attractions of the Marina Bay Sands is the Sky Park with its amazing infinity pool. We went both on the afternoon we checked in and the next morning as well. It was busy but not crowded and there seemed to be loungers for everyone. The pool itself is fantastic and the views of Singapore from it are truly breathtaking. The other side facing the harbour has lots of trees and shady areas with ample loungers so it is possible to relax out of the sun. The staff were friendly and helpful everywhere we went. We had a drink at Ku De Ta which was fun and obviously a very popular place to stop for a drink or a snack. Check out was fast and efficient too and getting a taxi to the airport was very easy. All in all a great stay!

Area recommendations
We really enjoyed exploring exploring Chinatown as we were staying initially at the Swissotel Merchant Court on the river at the edge of Chinatown. It is literally a 10 minute walk to Temple Street/Pagoda Street- the heart of Chinatown. The markets are fun and the restaurants are great. We even ate at the hawker center which was fun and the food was great. The Merchant Court is also just across the river from Clarke Quay so it is very convenient for the many bars and restaurants in the area. Clarke Quay is lovely both during the day and in the evening when it gets very lively- it has a huge choice of excellent restaurants and bars/clubs. We also had lunch one day in one of the restaurants in the basement of The Central which was right across from our hotel- a good selection and excellent food.
Dining
One of the advantages of staying at the Marina Bay Sands is the wonderful choice of restaurants in the complex. We had dinner one evening at Mario Batali's Pizzeria Mozza and would definitely recommend it. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. We also enjoyed eating at Rasapura Masters, a collection of hawker type food stalls in the basement of the mall. It is very similar to the food courts you get in Bangkok in shopping centers such as The Paragon or Central World. There is a huge selection of foods to choose from and the quality is excellent so it is possible to eat there several times and enjoy a variety of different foods from Asia and around the world.

I probably would not stay here again, it was a once off to say that we've stayed there, any other hotel can give you the same service for less cost.
