“Don't order the coffee!”
The hotel is excellent and conveniently located near the Orchard Road shopping district. However, late at night I ordered two coffees in the lobby bar and it cost $20
and they weren't even hot. I suspect the alcoholic drinks are similarly overpriced. Apart from that the service is friendly and attentive.
Also, there is a complex of 12 indoor/outdoor restaurants only a few metres from the hotel which are worth a look.
Area recommendations
The massive Orchard Road shopping district is great if you like shopping but for a really fun time go to Sentosa Island only 15 mins away by MRT and monorail. That's the resort district and it contains the Universal Studios theme park. It must have been good. I spent 8 hours there!

“Simply the Best”
I highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed a great 5-day stay at this hotel during our holiday in Singapore. Arriving at 10.30 in the morning our check-in process was very smooth and made easier when our room was available straight away. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was immaculate and spacious with a lovely bathroom. Our room was cleaned thoroughly daily and I was impressed by the complimentry newspapers, small chocolates and bottles of water that were left in the room each day. We paid for a Breakfast package with the Restaurant located on Level 2, which offered an assortment of both Western and Eastern food. There was a variety of delicious food and it was a great way to start the day. The Hotel Inn Singapore Orchard Road is ideally located just metres from the main shopping malls and high end label shops along Orchard Road, including the Somerset and Doby Ghaut MRT train stations. If you are looking for any last minute souvenirs there is also a small Souvenir shop located within the hotel. Absolutely impressed by this Hotel and we will definitely stay there again.
Hawkers Markets for meals, very inexpensive and can vary anywhere from $2.50 - $6.00 SNG

“A great stopover in Singapore”
Just a couple of days on the way from Europe to Australia and it worked well. Staff were great. Room was large (by European standards), clean and well equiped. A/C worked well and the bathroom was very good. Spent a lot of time around the pool on the 8th floor (roof) which was also very good. Location is fine - just off Orchard Ave. Only negative was no shuttle service to the airport and we ended up with a cab that didn't take credit cards, had no working seat belts in the back and drove very fast.

“Ideal Hotel”
Staying at the The Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre with the"executive "package" of inclusive breakfast, access to the executive lounge and complimentary high tea and evening drinks was a great decision and excellent value.The hotel which is very comfortably appointed, is in a great location for access to Orchard Rd. but this area has been eclipsed by the developments at Sentosa Is. the casino and around the bay area. Despite this, our family stay at the hotel was enhanced by the very friendly and obliging staff and the larger than average rooms. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and we strongly recommend the hotel.

“Great hotel”
Excellent hotel with good facitilites and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic with Orchard road and all it has to offer i.e. restaurtants, great shopping so close by. Would definately stay here again if I went back to Singapore. Only negative laundry service is quite expensive..
When to go
Pack lightly as this is Singapore always June/July is a great time as the Singapore shopping sales are on at this time of the year.
Getting around
Use the M.R.T as it is cheap and reliable but taxis are also cheap in Singapore
What to pack
Summer clothing as it is always warm and humid in Singapore
Must see
Singapore Zoo is a great experience and Sentosa Island is great for families
Dining
Food and Alcohol is quite expensive in Singapore however if you look for the Hawkers food halls that is where all the locals eat as it is good quality food at good prices. They are graded as A B C D, Excellent, good, average.dont bother...

“Very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre”
We had no complaints at all regarding our stay at the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre. The room was large and spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the service was excellent. We would be more than happy to stay there again.

“Very impressive Holiday Inn at Orchard”
Very good location, Very conveniently only a few minutes walk to Orchard Rd.,
Hotel rate is reasonable, room is clean, good and firm beds, and, supplied with
more than enough number of pillows for the guests' comfort.

“Singapore's best hotel”
Very happy with this hotel. Staff exrtremly courteous, very clean and comfortable. Best hotel in Singapore for the price. We did not include breakfast as it is somewhat expensive and market is a few steps away. Was very convinient to go to market and nearby 7-11 store. Very nice area. Made our Singapore stay memorable. They even stored our baggage at no charge when we went to Bali for one week. I would definately stay at this hotel if I came again to Singapore.
