“not impressed by hotel staff especially gym staff”

The location and cleaniness of hotel was great. Conceige and front desk staff was good but the operator and the gym staff was extremely rude. The gym staff made me feel uncomfortable by continuously staring at me. It came to a point until I had to stop going.

“Will never stay at another hotel ever!!”

Everything was more than excellent, from service, cleanliness to food. The staffs were on top of everything. They made sure I had a great time, had a taxi ready so not to miss my flight and etc. The location was great, close to everything you need. I had the best stay I ever had in a hotel. Stayingin Hilton Singapore was one of the best decision and choice I made on this last trip to SE Asia.

“Perfect location and hotel”

“A Traveller's Haven”

A real haven after a long journey. We were greeted warmly on an earlier than planned arrival and every effort made to make a room available at that time. The staff from waiters to cleaning staff were all friendly and/or unubtrusive as required and the room was large and comfortable. Like most Hiltons this hotel cateres for the many business people at conferences etc but the ordinary traveller is not forgotten and the location on Orchard Road is a real bonus for the dedicated shopper who needs to retreat and unload purchases before another shopping expedition. We will return!!!

Area recommendations

With Orchard Road already on your doorstep I would recommend the Marina Bay area as a must for fellow travellers. From here you have access to the Singapore Flyer,( Singapore's big wheel), shopping at Suntec City Mall, the Hop-on Hop-off buses, historic Raffles Hotel and the newest landmark in Singapore, the Marina Sands Resort, built like an elevated cruise ship with spectacular vistas from the top (at a price of $SD20) So much to see everywhere.

Getting around

Singapore is pretty well catered for in the transport department with it's MRT, Hop -on Hop 0ff buses and sundry tour buses and boats but our chosen mode of transport for quick sorties between districts, has not changed in 25 years and that is the local Singapore taxi. The taxis are inexpensive, rates are clearly shown and mainly government controlled and are always available.

“Excellent Hotel”

I stayed at Hilton Hotel Singapore from 7 Sept to 10 Sept 2011. The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, location was perfect for a shopper like myself, and the service was immaculate. The only problem I had was that it could be a little noisy due to the fact that my room was facing the main road. Otherwise I would give the hotel a perfect 10. I have booked to stay at Hilton Hotel Singapore again end of November, I can't wait to go back.

I love to shop on Orchard Road. My favourite place is ION Orchard and it is only 1 block away from Hilton Hotel.

ION Orchard where you get every name brand you want. I love the food court at ION Orchard as well, so many varieties to choose from.

“Hilton Singapore: Jewel of Orchard Road”

This is a good example of a fime Hilton hotel, made better by the tremendous attitude of the staff who seemed alwasy willing to do there best and then some more, to meet their customers' needs. I found the room very airy and it was kept to a very high standard by the effecient and friendly room maids. The quality of the food in the lobby restaurant was excellent, good servings and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. My stay was too short, and as I was attending a congress elsewhere in Singapore, I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked. In conculsion, when my travels or work take me to Singapore again, I would habe no hesitation in choosing the Hilton on Orchard Road. Thanks for a great stay!

Area recommendations

The new Marina complex and its environs: very exciting new development, planned to get even bigger and better over the coming year. The traditional ope-topped tour bus is a great way to form your own opinion of Singapore's delights!

“Needs improving”

I would recommend this hotel for its location only. The carpet was stained as was the linen. I did expect better from the Hilton.

Getting around

The Hop on Hop off Bus is fantastic they have 3 different tours and they are good value for money. We travelled all over the city on these buses, they are efficient and value for money. The staff are all very helpful.

Must see

Songs of the Sea at Sentosa its spectacular. Universal studios is well worth a visit.

Shopping

Exellent shopping particularly ION shopping mall. This mall also connects to Wisma Atria and there are some fabulous stores along this walkway. Far East Plaza is excellent for the younger age group.

“Hilton at Orchard”

The hotel is very convenient in terms of location. Walking distance to the Ion and Takashimaya malls. Good restaurants are within the vicinity and the staff were very helpful

“"Looking forward to our next visit"”

My husband and I spent four nights at the Hilton Singapore, and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day, the bed was comfortable,what more can you want! We will definatly be staying at the Hilton on our next trip to Singapore.
