We stayed 3 nights while we did day trips in and around Siena and can't say enough about this B&B. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating in every way - especially greeting guest and preparing breakfast each morning. They also helped us with our daily activities.. We had a room on the first floor next to the breakfast room that had a separate optional entrance from outside the courtyard. It was nice to go directly into the courtyard to have our breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The only negative, and it was not an issue with us, is that the breakfast room has some activity around 8am, and if you are not ready to get up at this time, another room would be better for you.
We had a car but preferred to go into Siena 2 nights during our stay without the hassle of parking. We missed the bus the first night, which is a close walk away, and decided not to wait on the next bus and walk in to town thinking it was only a "20" minute walk. The walk is uphill on a moderately busy street where there is very little room to get safely off the road in spots. We are in good shape and tackled the walk aggressively; taking us 35 minutes. Walking back downhill was 20 minutes. Recommendation: If you need a decent workout, walk but be careful - otherwise wait on the bus.
Overall, a great place to stay in Siena at a reasonable rate. We would love to stay here again upon our return.
