Absolutely amazing!
From the moment we arrived we knew the holiday had started. A beautiful and picturesque property overlooking a lovely dam with the backdrop of cattle, Alpacas, kangaroos and emu’s grazing over the course of the day. Abundant bird life kept the sky busy before giving way to the cool night and bright stars. The cottage it's amazing, clean and cosy layout and well supplied with kitchen staples, quality linen, towels, appliances and furniture with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our two doggies loved the fenced off yard with a view that only the most spoilt pups can dream of, and the log fire at night kept us all warm. On top of that the 50 acres to wander around, the Harewood Forest Trail on our doorstep and many wineries to call into on your short trip into town. With so many beaches and bays to go and explore, we simply ran out of time. Our five nights was wonderful and we will return again to keep exploring beautiful Denmark. Thank you Jo and Andrew for your hospitality and sharing this lovely property.

Harewood Homestay
Lovely country escape! The cottage was very nicely decorated with all amenities we needed, it just as the pictures show except closer to the main house than we realised. Fully enclosed back yard that our dogs loved. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable. The dog loved having a grassed area to lay around on in the afternoon. The outlook over the lake was beautiful and relaxing. Had lots of bird life to watch and listen to. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Perfect getaway
Great property to realx in peaceful surroundings with your family and you dog if your lucky enough to have one. The hosts were there next door at the time of our stay and they could not have been more accommodating lending the kids their kayaks and happy to have a chat. Will be back

Perfect place for a cosy getaway
Our stay was fantastic! Jo was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for a couple with 2 pups. The property is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the dam and rest of the property. Although the weather was very wet, we still enjoyed our stay and the wood fire was amazing to keep us warm. The way the house was set up is very tasteful and modern and had all that we required. The location is great for exploring the region. Denmark and many popular places to visit are nearby and the drive there through the forest is magical. Although the road to the house is gravel, it is very easy to drive on as it is well maintained and graded. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Tranquil and perfect, just what we needed!
Hideaway Cottage was in a great location, peaceful but with easy access to Denmark and surrounds. With two energetic dogs to walk there was plenty of dog friendly places to go, as well as on the property. Jo and Andrew, the cottage was beautifully done and had everything you need. A cute country cottage
This was a gorgeous cottage for my family (2 adults and 2 children ) to spend the weekend in beautiful Denmark. The property was perfect for us city folk , to experience nature and reset, we brought along our blue heeler pup who thrived on the large property and loved every minute of the dam . The fenced yard gave us peace of mind to leave her safely , whilst we spent our days exploring. I hope to book again one day in the future .

Serenity, nature and beauty
Absolutely loved my time at this property with my dog. There was so much room to walk around, especially the beautiful lake area with all the birds and trees. There was a great sized fenced & grassed area for the dog, and she was allowed inside! There was everything I needed for a lovely wood fire, and the cabin was very well equipped with anything else you could need. I will definitely be back and would recommend the property to anyone.

Fabulous stay at Harewood Hideaway Cottage with our two dogs. Great quiet location and excellent fenced areas for the dogs where we knew they were secure. Check in process with Jo was easy. We would definitely love to book here again in the future.

Fabulous cottage escape
This little cottage was perfect for our family of three, and our small dog. The outlook from the living area and kitchen was beautiful, overlooking a lake and grazing cows and kangaroos. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and listened to the symphony of frogs calling. The cottage had everything from quality cookware and a Nespresso coffee machine. A full shed of chopped wood for the fire and a good tv for rainy days. Thanks Jo for making our stay so easy and fun.

Our Stay at the farm cottage was Great! Myself, partner and our dog loved the property, loved exploring arond the lake during the afternoons and cozying up to the fire at night. The location is great as it is max 15mins from town and even closer to some of the great wineries Denmark has to offer. Highly recommend!!!

A peaceful, homely hideaway. Close to Denmark. Beautiful country views - kangaroos, Western rosellas, kookaburras, cattle. Cosy log burner. Clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Takeaway from Denmark Farmhouse Cheese and Duckett’s Mill Wines (just 2 minutes away) recommended!

Wonderful family getaway spot
The perfect little cottage for our family getaway in Denmark. Perfectly located 15 minutes out of town just off the main loop of wineries etc. It was so peaceful to sit out under the verandah and enjoy the views and birds, and take little strolls around the property. The cottage was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed and more during our stay. Would highly recommend for a couple or young family, and would certainly stay again. Beautiful Accommodation In A Stunning Rural Setting
We loved our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. Waking up to the view of the lake was stunning. Our girls loved playing on the swings by the lake. The house is close to Denmark and other local tourist attractions. The rural setting is lovely and the wildlife are right on your doorstep. The kangaroos come right up to the house and the kookaburras are beautiful. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Harewood Hideaway Cottage. The cottage presents superbly and lacks for nothing. It has a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding rural countryside, and is only a short drive to Denmark and the many local attractions. Our dogs loved the freedom of the enclosed yard and walks around the property. Communication with Jo was excellent and she and Andrew made us most welcome on arrival. We would certainly stay again and I have no hesitation in recommending Harewood Hideaway Cottage to others

Oh the serenity - with good wine and one happy fur child
The property looked as good and accurate as the photos indicate. It was our first trip to Denmark, and we fell in love! We were welcomed everywhere on our trip with our fur child including local wineries etc. Apparently, we were lucky and the weather turned on the charm - we delighted into the local dog friendly beach (postcard perfect); only some short 10-15 mins away. We ordered a platter from the local cheese farm a short distance away, and enjoyed the platter with wine we had purchased from a local vineyard earlier in the day - all whilst playing a chill list on our portable speaker, and tossing the ball for our fur child! It felt as though no one else was around, although Jo & Andrew were close by if we needed anything. The cottage was super comfortable, I loved Jo's design aesthetic; I couldn't think of anything else we needed! We were even welcomed with a beautiful local box of chocolate, and Jo thoughtfully dropped off some olive oil (as she noted previous guests had used up pantry supply). Once, I write this review, I am worried, I will not be able to re-book! This was a slice of heaven with every convenience no more than 10-15 mins away, you do not need to stay right in Denmark to be amongst it. I am very particular about cleaning, and the cottage was extremely clean and tidy and met my very high standards. We were lucky with the weather as I mentioned, but if you stayed during winter or rainy weather; you need to be mindful of the red earthy soil of the region; so your fur child's paws and any shoes become a bit red and muddy - so just pack some extra towels for wiping down fur child and take suitable outdoor footwear. I have photos of our fur child, Lucca, in absolute bliss.

A perfect little getaway!
This property is a wonderful place to escape and reconnect with nature and family. It is clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The kids had a great time exploring outside and Jo, the property manager was great, giving us all kinds of recommendations of places to eat and things to do. A wonderful trip away!

Rest and Recuperation
Just a joy. Everything just comfortable away from home. Had my little Maltese with me who was safe in the enclosed yard. We both lost his mate 2 weeks ago. Lots to watch with birds pecking at worms, ducks in the pond, Kookaburras song late in the day, bunnies late evening and peace a greenery around us. The house was warm but a fire ready to go when we arrived and, an electric blanket which is a must for my old ballet body!!! Everything I could possibly need!! gorgeous cottage.

Great Hideaway
Really nice property and backyard with views onto a little pond/lake and surrounding fields. Cabin was super clean, the rainwater in the taps was tasty and I loved being able to build a fire to stay warm. This place is situated in a nice forested area, but not to far out of Denmark. Loved being able to bring my two dogs as well. Great hideaway for a few days away from Perth. Thankyou.

I honestly challenge the toughest critic to find fault here. The view from the cottage down across the dam was spectacular. The cattle coming close really gave us the feeling of being on the farm again, they were an absolute bonus. Jo’s choice of linen, appliances and extras were top quality and very eco friendly. We had a beautiful welcome gift on the table and tree ripened fruit and eggs in a basket. Any queries were attended to right away by Jo. It was SO peaceful… no one near us which, after running a general store day in and day out, is just what the doctor ordered! A pity about the WIFI but that’s part and parcel with being out in the regions. I’m SO glad we found this spot, it’s a true treasure.
