I'd like to give them 5 stars but they have taken extra funds from my credit card and unable to provide a reason for this. My final invoice from them alao states the overcharge. They advised that it is explained in all the booking details but there is nothing there, the web link they provided on their T&Cs doesn't exist, nor does it directly on their website.

Hi Jeff, the three dollars charged to your card was for the drink in the fridge that was empty in your bin. Two points loss for three dollar charge on your credit card for something you took is very unfair :(

Great clean location and very friendly host. Beds were super comfy and the view out of the main bedroom was superb. Board games were a bonus as the weather turned the first couple of days we were there so it was great fun playing monopoly! I would suggest that before any guests check in that basic supplies are checked for adequacy like soap, shampoo and kitchen amenities like oil, salt, pepper. Also the second bedroom had a blind that could not be opened so the room was in darkness all the time. This should be fixed. We would have no hesitation recommending this place. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely views
Lovely place to stay with awesome access to the main sights of the east coast. Fully recommend taking a kayak and getting out on the river. Owner is super friendly and very accommodating.

Great property with easy traveling to local attractions. It was nice to sit on the back deck and watch the waves crash as the tide came in. Very happy!

Lovely hosts attending to needs quickly. Comfy king bed was great, lovely cushions and throw rugs, very warm doona. Fluffy towels, nice big shower. Great amenities for self catering and dining setting along with couch. Great large size TV. Wonderful beach front outlook, listening to the surf roll in, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There is a guest laundry with washer n dryer, great to have a clothes rack in the room too for washing. Tea, coffee, milk, kettle, toaster and microwave. The rooms are great, don’t be deceived by outside.

This property has access to the river and beachfront. Amazing uninterrupted views. Cute little rooms. Bed was amazingly comfortable, had a great sleep. Currently they are putting on Solar Panels, and encourage environmental sustainability. Is a short walk to the local pub and a great little cafe. It honestly was a fabulous little find.

Location was amazing, restaurant attached to the hotel was very convenient and a great feed but needed heating. Loved the non-contact check in. Enjoyed the spa although the tv was mounted in an awkward position which made viewing difficult while in the bath.

Glad you enjoyed :) Yes that would be awkward! I may change it to an adjustable arm to swivel that way .. to be honest, I had it ain’t towards the bed as I couldn’t even imagine watching TV in the bath, but what a marvellous idea!! Thank u!!

Amazing outlook

I stayed at this property 48 years ago!! Essentially it hasn’t changed but has been updated very well. The bed was very comfortable and lawns were well maintained. Bathroom lighting needs upgrading but otherwise a lovely place to stay.

We loved it here. Clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable, but the main thing is that it is super-close to gorgeous beaches. Our teenagers loved boogie-boarding on the surf beach but little kids would enjoy the shallow warm water in parts of the river mouth. Pizza/pasta restaurant right next door. Great value for money. We plan to return.

We will absolutely be back. The view from the room was amazing. We spent hours using the kayaks in the bay, the water there was shallow enough for the kids to use their own kayaks and they LOVED that.

Place was well situated, nice and quiet but the room needed a good clean, dead flies . There wasn’t anywhere to put anything no set of drawers or cupboards. Plenty of little tables but all full of plants and other things . Very disappointed.

Scamander Beach Getaway
Lovely unit, spotlessly clean, great supply of tea/coffee and mini bar items in the kitchen, beautiful toiletries as well, and the unit has lots of little extras - very impressed. Beds were extremely comfortable, self-checkin was very easy, and the view is just amazing - the beach and ocean are literally at your back door. We were very impressed, Shelley the owner is great to deal with, and we will definitely be back.

Stunning position close to the beach. Amenities within the Chalet were good. We were there for 3 nights and 4 days. We would have liked to unpack our bags however no drawers availble. Otherwise we were very comfortable in our accomodation. So much to see and do in and around Scamander.
