“Great breakfast, great hospitality”
I really liked the breakfast buffet for a great price. They offer traditional Japanese food and Western food, plus all kinds of drinks including delicious Hokkaido milk, and desserts including ice cream! The front desk staff were so welcoming. When it started to rain, they even lent me an umbrella. My room was kind of small, but considering the price, it's totally acceptable.
“See you in 2013”
The hotel located near subway and easy access to Odori or Sapporo stations. The staffs were firendly and assisted in planning our daily sightseeing spots. Will stay there again when in Sapporo.
“A tops place to stay in Sapporo”
Located only about 200m from the Nakajima koen station and one stop from Susukino. Very good staff and the park right next door was wonderful. Small room as expected but sadly I was on the end of the building with an average view. Comfortable and clean. Very good value for money too.
“Nice hotel”
Novotel in Sapporo was really nice. The staff was great and they had an english speaking concereige who was very helpful. Service was excellent, they even provided umbrellas when it rainded. The location was okay, but not as nice as i'd hoped. The park next to the hotel was great, but there were only a few restaurants in the neighborhood. The Aburi Aburi bar accross the street has great Yakitori with a picture menu and there is a noodle shop accross from the park that was good. Outside of that we had to travel uptown to get food.
“Sapporo Novotel June 2010”
Good hotel for short staying, far from JR Station but hotel provides regular shuttle bus to/from Station with few stops in between. Nice park with lake just across the road. Concert hall is 5 minuts walk. Small room but room service is just perfect. Very friendly staff.
“Novatel”
This Hotel is a great stay, a good deal for the price. It's a 5 minute walk to the train, 10 minute walk into the heart of the bar area... highest consentration of bars in the world. The hotel over looks a park that has a small lake, a spectacular view.
“Good location”
The hotel is a short walk from the subway station. A lot closer then it looks on a map. The room size was like many other Japanese hotels we have stayed at. The bathroom was a little small for me since i am a tall person. The beds wore more comfortable then other places we have stayed in Japan. The staff was really friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. I would consider staying there again!
“Reasonable price”
It was in the winter so there were a lot of snow. The distance to the train station was further than I was hoping for. It it was in any other season, it might not seem as far. Since it was in the middle of the Snow Festival, the price was reasonable for a clean hotel.
“Nice stay in Sapporo”
We stayed in the Novotel Sapporo during the first weekend of the Snow Festival. The hotel was a bit under 2 miles from the main festival area, but convenient if you use public transit. While the hotel was quite a walk from JR Sapporo station (especially if you take the night train getting in at 6am)... we knew the general area of the hotel but just kind of wandered in it's direction, and it luckily had a nice big sign (Novotel) and is a fairly tall building. It's also right next to a very beautiful park, where you can walk and Nordic ski. Our room had nice view of the park. Clean place. It's more reasonably priced than hotels in the Uneo Park area (or was for the snow festival time) and had everything I wanted. Staff spoke enough english.
“Sapporo at ice festival time”
A good hotel for access to the snow festival. The rooms are not particularly large. When travelling with children need to check room arrangements as additional bedding not provided even though booking noted additional guests.
