Wonderful stay with great views and great property
The home and grounds are beautiful and filled with fun. Anna met us at the property, was so helpful with our stay at the home as well as providing us with places to visit during day trips. The view is incredible and can be seen from the top deck, as well as the entire back of the property. The pool w/ pool house was so much fun, also gorgeous, plenty of places to sit , lounge and a full size fridge for easy access to beverages. On the side of the pool area there is a lovely covered trellis area to dine and admire the view. There is a well equipped sport court near the pool. As you look out at the view you see a lovely orchard of olive and other trees. The property has two well equipped indoor kitchens and one outdoor kitchen. It was as if we were staying in a 5 star hotel. The home and grounds are something very special and will hold many memories for us

Fantastic villa with great a great view and incredible pool
We arrived late to meet Giuseppe our host but he was still there to help us settle in. The villa is a wonderful space to inhabit as a family. It’s lacking in air on but it’s a naturally cool structure. The balcony and view are extremely nice. There’s a fantastic outside area for bbq and pizza making. The most incredible thing about the place is the size and cleanliness of the swimming pool. It’s extraordinary and all the family made use of it. The extensive grounds of which the villa is situated are luscious and private, the pictures online really don’t do it justice. Our host , Giuseppe, is very accommodating and helped us out with a number of issues we had but great communication throughout. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you plan to visit Sicily with a large group ( we were 9 and all had our own space).

Lovely stay - beautiful pool
We had a lovely stay at Giuseppe’s villa. Anna was able to meet us very late for check in following some flight issues which we appreciated. The inside of the Villa is somewhat rustic/dated but that was expected from the photos and it is the various outdoor areas that are the real attraction. We loved spending evenings by the pizza oven and outdoor cooking area after days spent by the huge pool with glorious view. A/C being absent from bedrooms would probably have been an issue had we have visited during the recent heatwave but as it was we were fine. The host was on hand to assist with any issues and to arrange pizza dough which we picked up from the sea front and to recommend restaurants and butchers etc. for which a car is a must. All in all a cracking stay and we may well be back one day.

Your own private resort
We really enjiyed our stay at this house. The outdoor pictures were what sold us on the rental and it didnt dissapoint. It was fabtastic. We had everything we needed in the rental. The hosts were very helpful and we cant fault this stay. Thanks

Beautiful villa overlooking the water from near top of a mountain
We loved this property! The owner Giuseppe and his daughter met us and were very helpful. Anna speaks English. The villa has a beautiful pool, patio, showers, lounge chairs and a separate bbq area. You can dine on the upper deck or below. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We highly recommend this property!

Great views, fruit trees on property, and kids loved the pool
We had a really nice stay!! The home was as pictured and perfect/big space for our family of 5. We stayed a bit early in season (April) but the kids used the pool even though a bit chilly (and convinced my husband and I to take a refreshing swim one day too!). Guiseppe and his daughter were super helpful in terms of flexible check in/out, making suggestions for local grocery store and ordering fresh pizza dough for us! We took a day trip to Milazzo and “hiked” down to the pool of Venus; we also stopped in Cephalu on the way to the house from the airport. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing family holiday…

Delightful family house well equipped with lots of thoughtful details
This house surpassed our expectations. It is much better than the photos. The gardens are beautifully laid out, the outdoor kitchen is fantastic and the inside of the property is spacious and well designed. We hope to return to meet the helpful owners another year.

Excellent villa for the family. Well equipped and good attention to detail
This villa is exceptional overall. It's quite rustic inside ( apart from the new kitchen downstairs) and there is no air con in the rooms. But that didn't bother us at all. You don't spend any time inside. The outside of the property is spectacular. The views, cooking area, pool bar (with beer fridge, shower and poolside toilet) are all brilliant. The pool itself is spotless and huge. The host even provides pizza dough, so you can use the pizza oven. We'd definitely stay again. You have to drive to town for amenities and restaurants, though we didn't leave often. Overall, a safe, quiet place to spend a beautiful holiday.

Beautiful Villa
Our family really enjoyed our time at Villa Contura! The property is beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring the grounds and all the fruit trees growing there, let alone the incredible view. The pool was the main draw and did not disappoint! We spent several full days in it! The pool is gigantic, and it became a morning routine to swim laps in it for exercise, which I enjoyed thoroughly, and the views in every direction were peaceful and beautiful. The diving board was a hit with the kids. The wet bar and bathroom by the pool were very convenient to save us trips up and down to/from the house. The basketball court was yet another added bonus! We also really enjoyed trying out the pizza oven, and Guiseppe was very kind to order us pizza dough bases from a local restaurant. Guiseppe and his daughter Anna were very helpful and always available via whatsapp to answer any questions we had, or make recommendations for local restaurants, shopping, or activities. If we ever make it to sicily again we wouldn't hesitate to stay at Villa Contura! The biggest problem is you don't want to leave it to go sightseeing. ;)

Very impressive villa with lovely large pool.Enjoyed the ice cold large poolside fridge. Town further from villa than expected -too far to walk. No kitchen on ground floor only fridge. Very enjoyable holiday Owner and daughter very helpful.

Amazing Villa with Spectacular views
The picture of the pool and amazing views were what attracted us to this villa on the Northern coast. The position was ideal for visiting Messina, Cefalu and Palermo. Guiseppe and his daughter Anna were extremely helpful both before and during our stay in ensuring that we were informed of the location, facilities and local. The swimming pool and its position was outstanding with a great seating area for soaking up the sun and relaxing. We had a proper wood burning pizza oven available for our use which was a fab experience. The villa itself was extremely spacious, commanding a fantastic view across the coast, and providing 3 excellent bedrooms. However many of the internal fitments (plus some of the pool chairs) were extremely dated and should have been replaced as they were 'not fit for purpose' and breakage would be charged for. The internal lounging chairs were uncomfortable and the shower needed careful attention as it drained very slowly and could flood the area. Air conditioning was available to cool the inside of the villa. If the above had not been a concern to us during our stay then we would have easily given the review 5 stars or higher, due to how spectacular it was.

Fantastic holiday villa with stunning pool
We, a group of 9, enjoyed a fantastic week and a half stay at the villa and studio. The pool is stunning - huge, warm and beautifully maintained, with a magnificent view. It was the epicentre of our holiday! We also enjoyed the large dining room table which comfortably seated all of us. The gardens are spacious and well maintained with loads of areas to explore - this was a great place for the children to play hide and seek. Giuseppe was very welcoming and helpful. In fact, one person in our party needed a dentist urgently and Giuseppe recommended and booked a very good dentist for the next day. We would highly recommend a boat-ride to the Aeolian islands as well as a visit to Cefalu, where we enjoyed the sandy beach with small waves and an old town full of character. All-in-all, a great stay. We would certainly recommend this villa.

Beautiful Villa with stunning views over the northern Sicilian coastline
Property Review We (2 families with a total of 10) had the pleasure of staying in the this Villa for the last two weeks in July this year. It is a large vIlla on a large footprint, with well manicured grounds and a simply stunning viewing down on to the coast (and view of sunset each evening). Is is located a few minutes outside Saint Agatha Di Militello (10 mins by car) on a hillside looking down on the coastline towards Cabo D’Orlando. The pool is beautiful with a BBQ and pizza oven. We had both the main Villa and the poolside apt all to ourselves. Giuseppe, the owner, could not have been nicer and more helpful during our stay. He was only a quick WhatsApp message away for information on the local area, restaurant recommendations, local shops etc. He even arranged for a local pizza restaurant to provide pizza bases so we could use the pizza oven by the pool. We did an overnight trip to the Aeolian islands which is approx 1.5hrs drive to the high speed ferry. They are well worth a visit to see the islands themselves, see Stromboli an active volcano and swim/snorkel in the crystal clear waters. Thanks ‘Peppe’ for an extremely enjoyable two weeks! Perfect guests ! They did not cause any disturbance during their stay, indeed it was very pleasant to have them in the Villa. I hope they decide to return to visit the other beauties of Sicily and stay at Villa Contura again!

Wonderful location
This villa has the most amazing views out to the coast and the Aeolian islands - it is situated high up above the village of St. Agata di Militello. The owner was incredibly helpful and encouraged us to get in touch if we had an queries. We particularly loved the huge pool and the big barbecue area. The location is very quiet which made for a very relaxing holiday

Sue, her husband and friends were very friendly hosts. They cared for the house as if they were on their property, leaving it clean and in order of their departure. They took care of objects, furnishings and garden. They enjoyed the sun, history and culture, architecture and good cuisine of Sicily. I hope to see you again soon.

Beautiful villa with amazing pool and views
We have just returned from a fortnight holiday in Giuseppe's villa. The location on the hill is fantastic, with incredible views across the ocean to the eolian islands. The gardens are beautiful and well looked after and the pool is stunning, just as it looks in the photos. Giuseppe could not do enough, from booking and recommending restaurants, recommending trips and he even booked and accompanied my niece to the medical centre for an x ray when she broke her toe. All in all,a top guy and a fantastic villa. Don't hesitate to book.

Jason, Steve and their families were perfect hosts. Very kind, polite and respectful of the home and the rules. Very receptive to socialization, they accepted the invitation to participate with us at the local festival of macaroni, appreciating many local traditions and traditions. They left the house in perfect order and cleaned their departure. I hope to have them again next year as guests at Villa Contura.

We had a wonderful time at this special and charismatic residence. We booked the upper appartment and enjoyed its special charme and spectacular view very much. We were in vacation mode instantly after arrival. It is not just any holiday home, you see the influence of the owners everywhere, especially in the art and books - we liked that personal touch a lot. Anna and Guiseppe where always available if we needed any help or infos. On the whole we felt very welcome there.

Von der Ankunft bis zum Ende war wirklich alles sehr gut. Die Vermieter sind extrem hilfsbereit und jederzeit zu erreichen, um auch bei Fragen wie Restaurants etc. zu helfen. Das Haus hat eine sehr gute Aufteilung und der Pool ist ebenfalls perfekt. Kurzum es hat alles sehr gut geklappt und man hatte die Möglichkeit sofort in den Erholungsmodus überzugehen, ohne sich noch um Dinge kümmern zu müssen.

Amazing villa
This place is absolutely perfect. Bettet than expected. The property is located in the hills about 4km from the city. The house and the garden is well maintained and it feels a bit like having your own resort. The view from all parts of the property is stunning overlooking the eaolian islands. The outdoor kitchen has several bbq options as well as gas stove and wood heated pizza oven. The pool area is great with sun beds, fridge, showers and toilet. Giuseppe and his daughter Anna were super hosts. They supported us with anything from booking restaurants, proposing stores to travel directions. Thanks for a great week.

Lovely villa with stunning view and pool
We stayed in this villa with eight aduls and two kids for two weeks and really enjoyed it. The pool and view are amazing! There is also quite a lot of shadowy places in the garden and around the pool, so there is enough cooling opportunities during the really warm days. The location is a bit up the hill, so a car is really needed.

Relaxing place w/ outstanding view & pool
We enjoyed very much our October stay in this beautiful villa with an amazing pool! We travelled 4 adults and 6 children (7-13), and we all had a brilliant time. The view from the house is absolutely outstanding. We used the upstairs kitchen and terrace for breakfasts, and the downstairs for lunch and dinners. We ended up cooking a lot as that was easy with the kids. The pizza oven and grill was easy to use once we got the hang of starting fires! (Remember the pizza oven needs a few hours if heating, but it’s really worth the wait). Thanks to the owners for providing pizza bases! So much fun. There are plenty of local supermarkets approx 5 km away with excellent produce. Some cute outdoor cats provided many hours of entertainment for the kids when they weren’t in the pool. Highly recommended place to stay.

Beautiful House with amazing view
The property is even bigger and more beautiful than on the pictures. The pool is huge , there is a outside oven for baking pizza and a space to play basketball. The house is very big, easy furnitured but you will find everything you need. The only thing missing in the kitchen was bowls and maybe a toaster. The check-in and out was easy and Giuseppe will helps you with any questions. I would highly recommend the house for some sunny vacation days and would come back anytime!

Wir sind gemeinsam mit Freunden in dieses tolle Objekt für insgesamt 1 Woche eingezogen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war super unkompliziert und uns wurde gerne bei Fragen geholfen. Der Grillbereich hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen, ebenso der Pool. Die Aussicht war ebenfalls genau wie auf den Bildern abgebildet und atemberaubend.

Wunderschön um vom normalem Trubel auszusteigen…….
Unsere Erwartungen von dem Objekt wurden übertroffen. Wir verlebten als Familie eine traumhafte Zeit. Die Vermieter waren jeder Zeit erreichbar und gaben hilfreiche Unterstützung wenn sie notwendig war. Was will man noch mehr, eine perfekte Grill-Anlage mit Piza-Ofen, ein Fantastischer Pool (inkl. Pool-Bar) , welcher regelmäßig gereinigt wurde, mit wunderbar sauberem Wasser, Aussicht auf die Liparischen Inseln (Vulkano) mit wunderschönen Ausblick auf das Meer sowie atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge und Sternen-Nächte …….vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit….

Des vacances en Sicile inoubliables
Très bel accueil de Giuseppe, Anna et son frère. Disponibles, sympas et toujours réactifs pour nous donner de bon conseils pour découvrir leur île. La maison est très spacieuse, propre, bien équipée et la piscine superbe. Cela nous a permis de visiter Cefalu, Taormina, Syracuse ou encore l’Etna pendant nos 15 jours sur place. Nos 4 enfants ont adore leur vacances, nous aussi. Grazie mille !

Ein Traumhaus in Traumlage
Es war rundum wirklich alles perfekt. Supernetter und zuvorkommender Vermieter, der für uns bei Fragen und Wünschen jederzeit erreichbar war. Das Haus ist riesig,top gepflegt und es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Die Aussicht mit Blick auf die Äolischen Inseln mit Sonnenuntergang über dem Wasser ist ein Traum. Der Pool mit kleinem Sprungbrett und 2,5 m Wassertiefe ist riesig, hier ( und an der Poolbar) hält man es den ganzen Tag aus. Alt und Jung haben hier einen perfekten Urlaub. Gerne wieder.

Ein wunderschönes Erlebnis
Die hier gemachte Beschreibung des Objektes stimmt absolut Der Vermieter achtete sehr darauf, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. Er bietet zusätzlichen Service und Tipps rund um die Reise an. Das Haus selbst ist phantastisch gelegen und wunderschön. Der riesige Platz rund um das Anwesen und der gigantische Ausblick tun ihr übrigens. Unsere ganze Reisegruppe kann diese Villa wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit auf Sizilien!

Pool mit Villa
In einem wunderbar großen Grundstück gelegen hat man Platz ohne Ende. Überall Sitzecken, für jedes Wetter geeignet. Jede Menge Olivenbäume aber auch Zitronen, Orangen und Kumquads. Das Grundstück und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt und gut angelegt. Die Villa selbst ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir waren im November, da wurde es abends schon etwas kühl und wir konnten den tollen Kamin anheizen, Holz gab es genügend und wir konnten gut gewärmt den Abend verbringen. Kurzum, es hat uns gut gefallen und wir können das Anwesen guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Encore mieux que sur les photos
On salivait deja a l'avance de notre sejour dans cette sompteuse villa, amis une fois sur les lieux on a eu le souffle coupe. En plus de la piscine et du grand jardin, il y a un terrain de basket et des ballons ce qui est fort pratique. Une vue a vous donner envie de vivre en Sicile quelque soit l'endroit ou vous vous trouver ou l'angle que vous prenez. Le seul probleme avec cette maison c'est qu'on s'y habitue vite et qu'une fois rentre chez soi on trouve la sienne plus petite et plus morne qu'a l'habitude Giuessepe est est hote tres agreable et toujours aidant et disponible en cas de besoin. Si vous allez dans ce coin de la Sicile, que vous soyez 4 ou 12, c'est la maison qu'il vous faut.

Schöne, große Villa auf wunderbarem Grundstück
Tolles, parkähnliches Grundstück mit sehr schönem Pool und tollem Ausblick! Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet, allerdings wäre etwas mehr Beleuchtung in der Küche hilfreich. Der Poolbereich ist hervorragend, mit separatem Kühlschrank, Bad und tollem Ausblick. Giuseppe ist ein toller Gastgeber, sehr freundlich, in der Abwicklung sehr flexibel (späterer Check out war in unserem Fall kein Problem) und mit guten Tipps für Restaurants, etc.

un sejour en famille enchantée
A l'arrivée nous sommes subjugués par cette vue, qui ne cesse de nous fasciner pendant ces 2 semaines. Des couchers de soleils quotidiens ont fait notre bonheur. Le jardin de la propriété est immense et extrêmement bien entretenu. ce domaine a ravi nos enfants entre l énorme piscine et son plongeoir, le cour de Basket, les cabanes dans les parties cachées de cette fabuleuse propriété laisseront des souvenirs a jamais dans la mémoire de nos enfants. la maison est incroyable, une superficie qui nous a permis l autonomie, l espace bien suffisant pour nos 3 familles. Le charme d'Antan et Sicilien nous a vraiment plus. La maison et très propre, avec tout le matériel suffisant et nécessaire pour passer un excellent séjour. La literie est bonne, la maison est climatisée. La Piscine est juste dingue, d'une taille digne des plus grande piscine d'hôtel 5étoiles avec son pool house bien aménagée.Guiseppe, un propriétaire très présent et qui prend vraiment soin de ce lieu. Son huile est exquise et nous a permis de déguster d'excellente pizza fait maison dans le formidable four à pain de la maison. La situation est un peu isolée dans les hauteurs mais c est l inconvénient pour jouir de cette belle vue. L avantage est la situation centrale sur L ile, nous avons sur 2 semaines visiter Taormine, L etna, Agrigente, Cefalu, Palerme. Tous a 2 ou 3h de la maison, faisable à la journée Des vacances reussies Merci Giuseppe

Ludivine et ses proches étaient des hôtes parfaits. Très propre, respectueux de la maison et extrêmement ponctuel. Ils ont tout laissé en ordre et propre. J'espère les revoir à la Villa Contura!

Notre séjour à la villas a été à la hauteur de nos attentes. La propriété est spacieuse, propre et offre une vue magnifique. Le propriétaire est disponible, sympathique et transmet les informations pertinentes sur les endroits à visiter, les restaurants, etc. Nous retournerions sans hésitation.

Sehr große gemütliche Villa mit wunderbarem Ausblick und freundlichem Vermieter
Wir waren im Mai 2019 für eine Woche auf Sizilien und haben in der Villa für eine ganze Woche gewohnt. Aufgrund der hervorragenden Lage "mittendrin" auf der Insel war es für uns problemlos Möglich, innerhalb der einen Woche Palermo, Catania, Taormina, den Ätna sowie Agrigento zu besichtigen. Die Villa liegt an einem sehr ruhigen Berghang mit einem sehr schönen Ausblick auf die äolischen Inseln, die bei klarem Wetter alle zu sehen sind. Die Küche ist vollständig ausgestattet, es war sehr sauber und man hat (wir waren zu viert) quasi unendlich viel Platz, sodass man sich nicht ständig auf die Füße tritt. Man muss sich dann nur zwischen den etlichen Plätzen zum Essen entscheiden. Sowohl der Tisch an der Poolbar, ein Tisch am Pool, ein Tisch auf der Terasse sowie auf der Küchenterasse und mehrere Tische beim Grill & Pizzaofen stehen zur Verfügung, wodurch sich genügend Spielraum für Abwechslung ergibt. Für die Pizza, für die uns der Gastgeber den Teig organisiert hatte, machten wir unsere ersten Gehversuche am hauseigenen Pizzaofen. Das Ergebnis war sehr lecker. Sehr gefallen hat uns auch, dass im Garten Orangen- und Zitronenbäume stehen, an denen wir uns bedienen konnten. Zum Einkaufen in die nächste Stadt / Dorf sind es ca. 3 km. Wir können die Villa somit nur wärmstens empfehlen, wer auf Sizilien eine hervorragende Unterkunft sucht ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Very clean, they left the house in perfect condition and were always punctual both in check in and in check out. Fantastic villa in Sicily with spacious garden 👍🏼 The villa has panoramic view from both house and pool area. The pool is large, and you will spend many hours there for sure. We really enjoyed our stay. Guiseppe is a friendly host, and is easily reached via WhatsApp. He can recommend restaurants and tours. Make sure that you try making your own pizzas in the genuine Italian pizza oven in the outdoor kitchen. Guiseppe can arrange pizza bases from a local restaurant. We will return 😁

Traumhaftes Anwesen mit spektakulärem Ausblick auf die Liparischen Inseln
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Villa. Der Pool und das Anwesen waren sehr grut gepflegt. Der Vermieter Guiseppe und seine Tochter Anna gaben uns stets wertvolle Tipps. So erlebten wir unvergessliche Restaurantbesuche und kamen zu einem tollen Pizzateig, den wir im Holzofen auf dem Anwesen selbst in tolle Pizzen verwandelten. Wenn es uns mal wieder nach Sizilien verschlägt, werden wir sicher versuchen erneut hier ein paar Tage zu verbringen.

Fantastic villa with amazing views! Giuseppe is a person you can trust. He is very quick with answers on Whatsapp. Clean villa, great villa. We really enjoyed our short holiday (4 days) to relax with our 2 daughters (2 and 4 years old). Very well worth visiting!
