Great
Fantastic location in the village, beautiful view of Mangrove Bay. Very clean with amenities close by. As well, the bus is across the street to take you to Hamilton or Dockyard. Jody is a wonderful host and very attentive. We’ve stayed here 2 years in a row and look forward to returning again. Highly recommend.

Perfect apartment in Somerset
We spent a week in September in this great apartment in Somerset. Perfect location with dive center close by, the ferries to Hamilton within walking distance and a number of restaurants within minutes on a scooter. Awesome host that helped us out with great tips. And having your morning coffee on the balcony looking out over the bay was a true treat every single day.

The property is gorgeous - a perfect quiet place! Jody is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - right across from a gorgeous bay. However, it's a bit isolated from restaurants and shops so rent a scooter so you can get around!

Perfect spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our 13 night stay here. The apartment was beautiful and spacious, bed was very comfortable. Walkable beaches and restaurants close by. We rented an electric vehicle and the parking space with charging station was super convenient. Jody and Cathy were gracious hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to be back one day!

The owners, Jody and Cathy, are such gracious hosts. They are so welcoming, with giving generous hearts. They, like their home, are beautiful inside and out! They strive to make you feel at home. Nice Studio Apartment in a Good Location
We really enjoyed our stay here. Jody and Cathy are fantastic hosts. They were particularly helpful during our arrival quarantine and with the bus and ferry shutdowns that happened during our visit. It's an easy walk to the beach and some restaurants. With the buses running again, it will be easy to get to the Dock Yards as well.

Great Bermuda Getaway!
This property was a great hub for an authentic Bermuda getaway. The location was perfect with views from our balcony of Mangrove Bay/Beach. Location was convenient for walking to Grocery store, pharmacy and liquor stores. Easy Ferry access to Dockyard/Hamilton (times vary) just down the street. Bus stops are also nearby. Jody and Cathy are SUPERHOSTS. From start to finish, they took care of our every need. The Honeymoon Paradise is truly quaint, clean, quiet and comfortable. We will be back!

Not the best location, don’t drink the water!
Although we found the room to be nice, location wasn’t in best area. Beach is not across the street. There was no restaurant across the road as stated in the ad. It was a 2 day wait to get food delivered from the grocery store. After becoming ill after the first night we found out we were drinking untreated rain water from the roof and was told after that’s why we should have been drinking bottled water. We ended up having to leave and were not able to get even a partial refund.

Thank you for staying with us. We constantly strive to improve our guests pleasurable stayed with us through better understanding and communication from start to finish; We are located across from Mangrove Bay and a short stroll from Long Bay beach. There is a lovely Breezes restaurant and bar across the street at the Cambridge resort. Also, Mr. Chicken, Four Star Pizza and Hamburger takeout just few steps away. Sargasso Sea is one of the Island top dependable delivery company which most of our guests have been utilizing their services due to Covic19 through their company website from ordering to picking up their groceries, snacks and restaurants’ lunches and dinners. We provide signs on the kitchen counter and the bathroom mirror to inform our guests that RAIN is our only source of water supply. Many guests have been consuming the water including the majority of the Island local residents. Per our previous world traveler guests, the differences between staying at a VRBO vacation rental and a Resort vacation rental is the experience of having an active lifestyle being with the locals and the experience of being Home away from Home.

This is our second stay at this apartment. The property is everything as advertised and more. Jody is an amazing host! A bus stop is adjacent to the property which makes travel on the island easy. We rented a Twizy and were able to conveniently charge it right outside our door. Arrangements can be made to enjoy the local gym which is located just a few steps away! Will we be returning?......absolutely!!!!!!!

Fabulous Bermuda Vacation
This has been a wonderful experience! The property is exactly as pictured. Jody was the best!!!! He arranged for our taxi to and from the airport and even grocery shopped for us the first day. He went out of his way to make sure that all of our needs were met, even arranging for my daughter to use the local gym. We drove all over the island on our Twizzy and were able to plug in and recharge right on the property. Because our experience here was so wonderful we are already planning to return in the spring . Lovely apartment and hosting that went above and beyond
The apartment itself was lovely, well located for everything in Somerset and bus and ferry route with a small beach just over the road. We visited at a difficult time due to the global pandemic and Jody did so much to make our stay comfortable. Jody buying in some groceries for us and collecting takeout for the first evening and morning when we had to isolate and wait for results made everything so simple. When the results took longer than expected Jody even stopped by to ask if there was anything we needed. Jody was always nearby to answer questions and help us with anything we needed. If we knew anyone going to Bermuda we'd point them towards this apartment immediately!

Very well appointed property. Jody the owner was very helpful and on hand to deal with any issues. Bus stops just a few steps away from the apartment. The only downside was noise from the scooters going by constantly,but the view from the balcony more than made up for this,small issue. Would highly recommend this property in Mangiove Bay.

Perfect vacation rental in Somerset
This rental has everything you need (and more) for a relaxed and wonderful stay in Bermuda. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped, the view off the balcony is just as beautiful as it looks, and the bus that gets you anywhere on the island stops right downstairs. Jody is kind and thoughtful, and made everything smooth and easy.

Jody was the best host we have had from VRBO. The Honeymoon Cottage was charming and the view of Mangrove Bay was spectacular. His suggestion of bringing a rolling cooler of food worked out well since groceries there are expensive. The property was immaculate. He even picked up bus passes for us since the office was closed on Sunday’s. He thought of everything and we hope to return soon.

Firstly, Jody is the perfect host, very helpful, always available, but also leaves you alone if you prefer. He kept us up to date, with good communications beforehand too, which we appreciated - a great personal touch. We loved Bermuda, but we are also so pleased we stayed in this area. It is just what we wanted, a small community with all amenities. Buses and taxis were easy. The trip to Dockyard for the ferry was simple. The people were amazingly friendly, with good tips, Fort Scaur being a real find, thanks to a jogger. The property is clean, tidy, with everything you want. The road can be a little noisy, but it did not detract from a perfect stay. Bed, and bathroom are good, as is the kitchen, should you want to use it. Plenty of literature about the area is inside. The highlight is sitting on the balcony, taking in the views. Perfect. We would return without any question, and would recommend this apartment. If you look at it, don't be concerned, it is great :) Many thanks.

A great place for a Bermuda visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed Jody’s place - it was very clean, newly renovated, authentically and historically Bermudian. It is located on the shore line as well as on the major rd. which makes catching bus or taxi an easy thing. Jodi was the most hospitable and welcoming host. An occasional motorcycle could wake up a light sleeper if the balcony door was left open but our baby slept through it, like a good baby should! We strongly recommend Jody’s place!!! Our first time to Bermuda was memorable!
Jody and Cathy were the perfect hosts. We arrived to a friendly greeting and immaculate quarters. The location was great, and bus service was right out front. Bus passes were a great idea as we could jump on and off as we pleased. Also good for ferry rides! One gem we stumbled across was the boat tour that departed from the Country Squire Thursday morning. This free tour took us along the coast out to the HMS Vixen. Got to feed the fish and see a few sea turtles! The unit was comfortable, and had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!

Very well cared for property at a beautiful location in Bermuda
The property is located on the waterfront with a small balcony overlooking a bay, great for breakfast in the morning. There is a bus stop right in front of the house, convenient for those using public transport. Inside, the property is true to its website pictures. It is well laid out, well cared for and tastefully decorated with a full complement of modern appliances. It is an open plan with bedroom, living room and kitchen areas. The ceiling has exposed beams which we found quite charming. But even more than the property, we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of Jody, Cathy and their associates. They arranged to pick us up at the airport and return us there for our flight back. They responded quickly and helpfully to any queries both while arranging the stay and while we were there. All told a great overall experience. We would most certainly want to stay there again when we return for another visit to Bermuda

Where to begin? My wife and I couldn't have been happier with this rental. It certainly met all of our expectations and then some. The space was clean, well appointed and very spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. Great AC and a terrific shower. The kitchen space was more than adequate for cooking, although we didn't do any of that. LOCATION: We visited every corner of the island during our short stay, and Somerset is definitely the place to stay in our opinion. Getting around is relatively cheap and very, very easy using the bus system. The Dockyard was only a short walk away and we caught the ferry to Hamilton there one day. There are other great beaches within walking distance of the apartment, and we felt very safe and comfortable hiking around the area. THE HOST: Jody and his lovely wife were the best. Whenever we ran into Jody he was quick to check to make sure we had everything we needed and accommodate any special request we may have had. He even showed up with a delicious apple loaf one morning. Seriously, the dude brought us breakfast. When we needed an early cab to get back to the airport, he was at our door at 5:30am to make sure we got in our cab on time. My wife and I travel the Caribbean every year and we've never encountered this level of hospitality. We WILL be staying here again. BERMUDA IN GENERAL: An awesome island only surpassed by the awesomeness of it's residents.

Thank you for your review, we greatly appreciate you taking the time :) West end of the Island where locals are the friendliest in the quaint Village comprises with restaurants, spirit store, shops, Doctor, Dentist, pharmacy, gym and an electric bike rental downstairs. The biggest attraction at the end of the Island on the West side, Royal Naval Dockyard, is just few bus stops away from us (approximately 2.5 miles) where a ferry ride to either Hamilton or St. George is memorable with beautiful sceneries surrounded by clear blue ocean, clean open air, green trees and colorful homes up on hills with white roofs. Take a stroll along the road sides between the apartment and the Royal Naval Dockyard lies small beaches where magical sunset can be captured every evening! Bermuda Public Transportation is the best and the least expensive way to travel the Island through bus or ferry with bus stops conveniently located right outside our building and ferry stops a short walk away. Fall is a lovely time to visit the Island with beautiful weather, less crowd and great rate! You can either rent an Electric Bike downstairs and explore on your own or take an Electric Bike tour of the West End with us :)

Clean, close proximity to everything you need, perfect for a romantic getaway!
My husband and I came to Bermuda for an Anniversary trip and while we were here we fell in love with Bermuda. Our stay in this location was pure perfection. Jody was an awesome host. Hailing us cabs to and from the airport, offering suggestions on things we could do while we were here, and just being available if we needed him. We would absolutely recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a place to stay at an affordable price! Thanks Jody for making our Anniversary trip one we will never forget.

Perfect Little Apartment
We spent four nights here to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Jody and Cathy were excellent hosts. The apartment has plenty of room and is clean and well appointed. We only used the kitchen to make breakfast and store snacks. The bed was large and very comfortable. Correspondence with the owners was very prompt prior to the trip and they had excellent suggestions. We opted for the bus from the airport. $5 US, get a transfer for bus 7 or 8 on entering. We bought our 4 day bus/ferry pass (great deal!) on arrival at the Hamilton Bus Station and transferred to the #8 bus. Our plane arrived at noon and we arrived at the apartment before 2pm. We walked to the grocery store, Marketplace, about 4/10 mile away, (Jody provided an extra grocery bag for us.), where we picked up breakfast stuff and cheese, crackers, wine etc. Our first night we made it easy and had dinner across the street at the Country Squire restaurant. It did not disappoint. We made excellent use of our bus pass for the next few days. On one morning, we had planned to make it a beach day, but just as we got ready the skies opened up. We did however have an excellent Plan "B." The rain calmed down a bit and we made use of the two umbrellas provided and went for a hike along the Bermuda Railway Trail. The path is paved all the way to the Somerset Drawbridge. There were plenty of places to stop along the way and enjoy the scenery. There is also a clean restroom and lots of photo spots at Fort Scaur. The trail disappears and puts you out on the street a little ways past the Vesey Nature Reserve, so after almost 5 miles we ready to stop and waited for a bus. On our actual beach day, we had an easy bus ride to Horseshoe Bay. Pro tip: leave early, the bus starts at Dockyard, so if there are lots of cruise ship pax in port, the bus may be full before it gets to you. On or last day we had a 1pm flight home. We took a bus to Dockyard in the morning and caught the first ferry to St. George. We walked around St. George for a little bit and had a coffee. Then the bus ride from there to the airport was about ten minutes. The ferry ride was relaxing and made for an easy commute to the airport. We love Bermuda and would not hesitate to stay here again for a lovely vacation.

Fabulous Deal! Amazing Hosts!
This was my first time to Bermuda and I absolutely LOVED it! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Jody and Cathy were super sweet and helpful. They answered all of my questions before we arrived, and they gave a bunch of suggestions that made our stay so much better (such as bring a cooler packed with items to have in the unit because it's true, things are expensive on the island). The unit was very clean and exactly as it was advertised. It's spacious and updated, tiled floors throughout, a lovely modern bathroom with a great shower, a kitchen that had everything we needed and more! As others have stated, it's situated right across the street from the bus stops you'll need (one going to the beaches and/or Hamilton, and the other headed to the Dockyard). The bus can be a little tricky to figure out, in terms of when it will actually arrive, but it definitely came in handy when trying to get around the island if you do not have a car or motor scooter. Horseshoe Bay Beach was our absolute favorite beach--the water was clear, the sand was white & pink and smooth, and there were no rocks or seaweed where you swim. If you walk along the beach to the left, you'll encounter other beaches and coves that were breathtaking. From the Dockyard, we went on Hartley's Helmet Diving adventure--check it out--we thought it was fantastic! Jody also directed us to H2O Sports which is about a 10-minute walk from the unit. There, we were able to rent paddle boards and explore Mangrove Bay--the bay the unit overlooks. I think the value and hospitality were top-notch, and I can't say enough positive things about our experience. As we were leaving, I told Jody that I would definitely be back, and I'm already looking forward to it!

We love Bermuda. The people of Bermuda are so friendly and welcoming. Jody and Kathy have a lovely, clean and comfortable apartment. The bus is convenient, and it's a short bus ride to Dockyard. Beautiful beaches, trail, and adventure await! Jody was helpful in arranging taxi ride to and from the airport, and Mr. Robinson (the driver) was an excellent tour guide along the way.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Cathy & Jody in Somerset, Bermuda. The apartment was spacious, super clean, very well appointed - everything you need - and, with a 4-year old in tow, we really enjoyed the flexibility of having a full kitchen. We loved the location, being a bit outside of the most touristy spots, but within easy reach of everything by bus or taxi. It was nicley rerenavated, and close to bus transpotation. The owners were awsome people. They helped out with info and other needs.

Truly paradise
We had a pleaseant stay at jodys rental property. A beautiful view of the crystal clear blue waters, fresh ocean breeze makes you feel relaxed. Everything is within walking distance and the host will not hesitate to help you with anything you need. Defentitly inquire if you are looking affordable accomadations, highly recommended!
