“Lovely View Over The Beach”
The Hotel Neptuno in San Pedro del Pinatar is about 20 km to the NE from Cartagena as the crow flies but it is 36 km around the bay to the city and the drive takes about 30 minutes. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay in this quiet town, especially as our room had a nice large balcony overlooking some palm trees, the pedestrian walkway and the beach. The balcony was large enough for two chairs and a table where we could eat an evening sandwich with beer while watching the sunset over Cartagena in the distance. Our room was a bit small but clean and comfortably furnished. The little fridge was perfect for keeping beer and snacks cool. We were able to park free on the street in view of our balcony. The staff were very polite and helpful and spoke some English. The air conditioning didn’t work but the balcony door provided lots of fresh cool air at night (in October). Breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety of foods.

The room and areas of the hotel smelt of smoking. Improved with keeping the windows open. Otherwise pleasant place to stay, breakfast good.

We only stayed 2 nights in Feb, the staff were very helpfull. This is not a luxurious hotel but it was fine for a short break for the price we paid.

The hotel was very basic but clean with pleasent outlook over the beach. Suitable for a budget break, but lacked comfort, i.e. no easy chair in the room only garden patio furniture on balcony, the rooms were also quite small
