I will start with the positive. The resort is very pretty and the views are great. The staff is friendly and the common areas are very clean.
My issue was with the rooms. I checked in and my room smelled like humidity and the AC was not working properly. They changed my room (after telling me there were none available) and that one too had a broken AC. They then offered me a room on their new building (which had working AC) but wanted to charge me $100-$140 dollars more. I was reluctant to pay more. They finally gave me another room. The AC was not great, but it worked and we were tired of changing rooms. We spent a total of 5 hours in this ordeal.
On the positive side. The employees were polite and friendly. We did ask for a monetary incentive for all the trouble, and they agreed to take off the resort fees.
Recommendation is to be careful in picking rooms. Call hotel after booking and make sure. The rooms we were given were in the Brisas. We had room 3332, 3328 and ended up staying in room 3444. The the third room they offered but we didn’t stay in (because it was more money) was in the Vistas wing room (#4442).
Recommend staying in las Vistas and not las Brisas.
Another couple traveling with us (and a 6-month old baby) had room 3308 in Las Vistas and the first right, they found cockroaches all over the room. Hotel ended up giving them a room in Las Vistas for no extra charge.
Overall, if you want to stay here try to not stay in the Brisas wing.
