Friendly, easy checkin. Sofa bed was super uncomfortable for our daughter. Bed was very comfy. We were in town for a celebration of life for my cousin, had a great stay. Property could use a little update.

Staff was always nice and accomodating even with the 3x that we had to change rooms. On the other hand, I was not happy to find out that the mattress was filthy and pretty stained. The free breakfast was a nice touch although it could use a bit of variety. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank You.

We arrived at the Hotel around midnight on December 24th, later than planned due to a delay in flights. Only to be told that they had no rooms available because they were over booked. We had booked this prepaid stay through Expedia on November 25th. We couldn't believe this. They offered us a room in a different hotel but we would have to make out own way there. We had chosen this particular hotel because it was just a few minutes walk from our daughter's house and so we didn't have transport. The staff were apologetic and said it was a corporate issue. Shabby, who stayed after her shift had finished to help us got us an UBER to another Residence Inn 30 minutes drive away. She paid for this herself. We had not received any notification that there wasn't a room for us. We did not arrive at the alternative hotel until 1:40 am after 21 hours of travel. We felt very let down.

One Week in San Jose Residence Inn
The elevator was worn and carpet was dirty. Noticed the last inspection was 12/22 and license was expired. Staff was efficient but no extra effort was made to make us feel comfortable with a 5 night stay. Our room was cleaned once after several calls. We were given a total of four towels for one week. Ran out of Kleenex first night ran out of towelette paper and had to go searching again. Breakfast was blasé. After second day we ate elsewhere.

Water took FOREVER to get hot, waste of water! Cars being broken into in Parking lot. Security was chasing low life's away. glass in parking spaces from break-ins. bathroom had open soap bar and hair in shower. The hotel gave us a refund, which we appreciate- but due to crime- I would avoid!

Staff was rude. We got locked out of our room and couldn't get to our stuff/ medication, until almost checkout the next day! Horrible, horrible experience. I will NEVER stay there again!!!!! No apology or comp from management and the next day when we finally got back in our original room, we were changing and gathering our belongings and housekeeping just opens the door without knocking smh just looks, doesnt say sorry and closes the door.

This Property can definitely use an overhaul, Old, musty smell throughout the halls, for having a brand name Marriott's, this place is NOT living up to its Brand. Hilton has now replaced Marriott's for me.

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was ok. The cleanliness needs improvement. There was a big cobweb above the bathroom door, smears of some substances on the door frame and the bathroom sink did not drain.
