“Enjoyed my stay”
We did not arrive until 2am and staff was very accomidating. We appreciated being so close to the beach.
“Simple but clean”
This is a basic motel, but it was clean and comfortable. That's what I wanted and that's what I got.
“Great price if you just want to sleep”
Location was great for us. Stayed 12 nights and were able to drive to San Diego, LA, Disneyland with ease. Breakfast was not the best, the OJ was a powder mix. Maid service was outstanding, rooms and bathrooms were kept very clean. We would stay again.

Conveniently located even though we did not go to the ocean. Clean room and very comfortable for the price.

The hotel is very nice. The outside as well as the inside are kept very clean. The microwave and mini fridge complement the room. I highly recommend this hotel.
“good for cheap nights-I'd stay again”
I didn't feel disgusted with the room or the hotel. The room was actually comfortable. The towels weren't too pleasant (rough one w/black spot) close to the ocean (I drove there)
“Can't wait to go back”
When we stayed at the Ocean Inn, we had a teriffic experience. The staff was extremely friendly, rooms were very nice and clean. We only had about a five minute walk to the beach and it was beautiful! For the price of the rooms you can't pass it up.

“Great Stay - Great Choice”
I'm confused by some of the negative comments I read on this place as my stay was extremely pleasant and the hotel was great value for money. The place was clean, bright, cheerful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine. I have no complaints. As mentioned, the breakfast isn't really much more than coffee and toast and that's probably the weakest point. The closeness to the beach might be a consideration for some as it's only a couple of blocks if you're a crow, otherwise it's 10-15 minutes to walk. Not a problem for me, but it's probably going to be an irritant if you're expecting to walk out the back and onto the sand. As mentioned by others, the rail-line is close. It runs in the divided part of the the coastal highway so all the hotels on that part of the coastal highway are as close to the rail line. Bottom line. I was more than happy with my stay and I'd certainly go back again.
