Les Roches Rouges, a Beaumier hotel

"Whilst the location is 5 star, the service most certainly is not: - Lack of attentiveness at check-in (no assistance with luggage), at breakfast service (had to flag down waiter on two days to get coffee), at lunch service (wrong order) - Impeachment of guest privacy / safety - twice staff walked into my room without my knowledge, one time catching me undressed - They asked me to change rooms due to a faulty mini bar but did not offer to pack my things or carry my luggage to new room - The door key needed resetting every day of my stay - No assistance with luggage when leaving the hotel Les Roches Rouges is a beautiful hotel but if you are discerning about receiving great service, you should think twice about staying."

"Recommended - A great price and fabulous breakfast included. Hotel is in a great central position, just a few minutes walk from train station, the town and the sea. Staff were 1st class, the air con was fab, basic, clean room with a nice ensuite. Hotel has a lift to upper floors."

"The hotel was overall okay despite several disappointing issues. The check-in process was extremely long — nearly 25 minutes of waiting, which is hardly acceptable after a trip. During a heatwave, the air conditioning in the room did not work on the first night, making the room extremely hot and difficult to tolerate. The most disappointing part, however, was the reception service. When I asked for a late check-out, the young receptionists unfortunately refused without making any real effort to find a solution. In addition, a second receptionist who was still in training joined the discussion simply to repeat the hotel policy, without any real listening or willingness to help. This attitude made the interaction even more unpleasant. Fortunately, later that evening I spoke with another receptionist who was far more professional and managed to find a solution. The following day, the head of reception was also professional and helpful. This is unfortunate because in a hotel of this category, one expects genuine customer service and a professional welcome."

"Great location! Beautiful views. Rooms are small. No cleaners for the entire stay; at the end of your visit you’re asked to sweep, strip the bedding, wash + dry dishes, and empty the bins (probably own fault for not being aware of this). Plenty of choices of where to eat, and local supermarket. In walking distance of local towns. "

"We booked and prepaid for a Superior Double Room with Terrace (allows 3) via Expedia. On arrival at 1 a.m., the hotel claimed our room was unavailable, tried to charge us €100 more, and placed us in a worse room with no terrace in a different building after an hour of arguing. This was a bait-and-switch experience and pure harassment. Expedia has not resolved the issue. Travelers beware- confirm directly with hotel before booking!"
