“Old Style Elegance in the center of Rye”

Very welcoming Inn right in the center of Rye. A short walk to all the shops. The rooms are incredibly spacious for England and nicely decorated. The added bonus was the indoor swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool which made a welcome break from our long drive. My only advice would be to go 50 feet down the cobblestone road for a fantastic breakfast as the 9 GBS pp for continental breakfast seemed steep for our family of 7 in the hotel. We ate a huge breakfast in a cozy atmosphere for about 2 GBS each instead.

“A conveniently located hotel in Rye”

The hotel was very nice and conveniently located in the town so that guests can walk to all the towns attractions. The room was small but comfortable and well equipped and the staff were very helpful. The hotel has a large free parking area at the back which is a plus in a town that has few places to park.

“Nice hotel, needs updating.”

Stayed in June 2008! It is a nice hotel centrally located, loved breakfast in bed! Only problem in bathroom was shower, musty and mildew were due to shower curtain! Too long and trapped in drain! We picked hotel for hot tub, pool and steam room! There is no hot tub, pool was cold and steam room contained of a lawn chair and cubicle, which was broken! Otherwise hotel was great but don't pick for ammenities.

“Perfect for a stay in Rye”

We pretty much only slept and showered there; but the room was very clean and comfy (tiny bathroom for my 6'4" tall hubby, but he managed!), staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is ideally located for a visit to Rye. All in all, a very pleasant overnight stay.
