Perfect hideaway
Wonderful petite cottage just right for a lovely relaxing escape. Our fur baby loved it the most I think taking full advantage of the safe expansive gardens and the toasty warm nights in front of the roaring log fire. Highly recommended

Cosy cottage
Carol’s place was great! The cottage was super cosy especially with the fireplace. Our dog loved exploring the big garden and it was great knowing the whole area was secure for him to zoom around. Will definitely be back for our next trip to the mountains!

Cost two person get away with fur baby
Beautifully presented, well equipped cottage retreat, lovely gardens with emerging bulbs. Able to make a day trip to spectacular Mayfield Gardens. Really enjoyed our getaway at Rydal Cottage.

Amazing Property and Host
Such a charming property and great host. Everything you’d expect from the listing is what we got. This property made me consider country living that’s how nice it is. Definitely recommend for a couples retreat. FYI the internet is NBN satellite so don’t try to do too much with it but that’s not the property’s fault. 10/10!

Quiet, Peaceful Location
The cottage was perfect for a few days away to relax. It had everything you would need. The garden was fantastic for our 2 dogs to explore. The cottage was clean and tidy in a quiet location to really relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you need a few days to recharge this is the place to go. We will be back as we have stayed previously and thoroughly enjoyed the serenity of Rydal.

Perfect little getaway

Perfect Getaway
We had a great time, the grounds are beautiful with lots of little gardens and different places to sit. Fully fenced, even for small doggo’s, our cavoodle was well contained. Perfect place to relax! The cottage was cute, cozy, nicely renovated and very clean. Carol is an attentive host, we had an issue gaining access to a wood shed, and she was very prompt in replying and sorting it out for us. We will be back!

Luxurious wonderfully relaxing and peaceful.
The cottage was adorable and the gardens just magical. So much thought and detail put into the cottage with a luxurious feel too it. We lacked for nothing except tissue paper which had run out and there was no replacement.

This was our second stay at Rydal Cottage and it was absolutely beautiful again. The cottage is so comfortable, clean and cosy and our little dogs love to explore the beautiful garden which was blooming with daffodils

Off the grid getaway
Loved this beautiful little cottage, with everything one could every need. Beautiful gardens to roam around in. Comfy bed, lush bathroom, cool kitchen and a lounge room with a fireplace. Perfect Weekend Getaway for a couple
This gorgeous cottage in the village of Rydal is the perfect place for a lovely weekend getaway for a couple. The cottage is cosy and welcoming with a fireplace and underfloor heating, which is great for a winter evening in front of the fire. The garden is beautiful all year round. We absolutely love staying at Rydal Cottage.

From our arrival to our departure we were delighted with the cottage. Such a wonderful ambience ...quietly elegantly country decor and furnishings with a lovely vintage touch. Every appliance that we could could possibly want and the heated floor in the bathroom was just delicious. Ample heating choices but It was so delightful to come "home after our exploring of the area and light the fire and enjoy the cosiness. We had such a delightful visit. Thank you so much.

Total relaxation
This property surpassed our expectations, the cottage was warm and cosy and beautifully decorated, it was very well appointed in addition. The gardens were a delight and our kelpie Ellie was ecstatic with the spaciousness and variety of plants, birds and trees. The evenings were surreal with the many ambient lights throughout the garden all under the inky black skies shimmering with zillions of bright stars. And the air is so clean, fresh and invigorating. A wonderful place to relax!

We chose Rydal Cottage because we needed some peaceful time away from our busy city lives, and that’s exactly what we got! The cottage is quaint and nestled in the most beautiful gardens. Lovely to have a local pub in walking distance to have a quiet beer and a meal. We did a bit of discovering of the local towns and even visited the Hydro Majestic. The cottage had everything we needed.

Wonderful Stay.
Rydal cottage was the perfect country escape from Sydney. It was away from the summer ☀️ heat. I slept very peacefuly in the fresh air. The bath was relaxing and the fire 🔥 kept it cosy.

Fantastic place for birdwatching
This was a lovely cottage set in a spectacular garden. A highlight of every day was the visits from the local king parrots every afternoon. The location was a great base to explore that particular corner of the mountains/central west.

Overall an enjoyable stay
Overall, quite an enjoyable stay. Our dog loved the space to run around, as well as the opportunity to sit on the sofa (with sheets provided). The garden was beautiful, as were the flowers. We were also kindly given a late checkout. Nb - our dog ran off to the owner’s house a few times which wasn’t a massive issue - but would be good to have a fence in between ‘our space’ and the common areas/owner’s space. Also, would be good if could just leave the dishwasher on prior to leaving (vs also needing to empty). Small issue but just wanted to note. But overall, we enjoyed it. :)

Another relaxing stay
This was our 5th year in a row staying in the cottage. It’s always a relaxing stay and everything is easy from booking through to check-in. It’s only a short drive from Sydney so should visit for a recharge more often

The spacious garden was a surprise, and added to the joy of staying at the property. Our dog loved a leisurely walk through the garden on her own each day. As a general note signposting in the area could be improved - not Rydal but directions out of Rydal

My hubby and I had such a relaxing stay . The gardens are so beautiful and we enjoyed our breakfast on the verandah overlooking the gardens with the king parrots. Our little dog loved the freedom to roam within the well fenced property. Thanks Carol.

Perfect getaway for couple and doggies
My partner and I stayed here for a couple of nights with our 2 dogs (amstaff and kelpie). We were a little apprehensive about how secure to fence was on this large property, so we walked the boundary before letting them off their leads, BUT it was VERY secure and we were very impressed and couldn't be happier to see our pups living their best lives, running around like maniacs hehe. It truly IS doggy heaven! The main residence is on the property too with no fencing around us or them, but we were totally left to ourselves and had total privacy and full use of the stunning land. For us, the cottage and landscape was magic - everything you could possibly wish for, we didn't want to leave. We will most definitely be coming back here over and over again. We'd never been to Rydal before and we absolutely loved our weekend stay! The cottage was comfortable with all the comforts. The highlight for us though was the most glorious garden. Sitting out on the loungers just taking in all the foliage was so relaxing. Definitely recommend Rydal Cottage!!

What a lovely little cortage
A lovely little cottage in the peaceful village Rydal. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well heated with plenty of firewood for the big fireplace, heated floors in the bathroom and heating in every room. The area is a truely breath taking part of NSW. The host was friendly and accommodating but gave plenty of privacy. The dogs had a great time exploring the huge, well fenced gardens.
