Genting Hotel & Spa at Resorts World Birmingham
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed for an NEC visit. The hotel is a 10minute walk from the train station. We walked through the NEC complex rather than around it to get to the hotel. First impressions were a bit confusing as there is no grand hotel entrance. However, once in reception, you know that you're in a hotel. The reception from the staff was friendly and easy. Our room was on the 4th floor. The first impression of the room on opening the door was good, nice clean smell and bright. We had a twin room which was spacious and very clean. Plenty of good quality toiletries in the bathroom. It was a bit stuffy in the room at night and we had to keep the air conditioning on which wasn't a problem for us. It was very quiet and we never heard an aeroplane from the nearby airport. Breakfast was well laid out and presented and the Sky restaurant has a fantastic outlook and we were lucky enough to get a table by the window."

Chesford Grange Hotel

"The hotel is in lovely grounds by the River Avon & has lots of parking space. The location is within easy reach by car of Kenilworth, Stoneleigh Abbey, Leamington Spa and Warwick. The room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a bit small but fine if not many are using it. Breakfast is a bit expensive if you pay for it separately and a bit early for us, during the week, but there was a good selection in the buffet and menu, although you had to pay extra for some dishes. The dinner was tasty although my fish dish was a bit salty. The hotel isn't very eco friendly. There were little water bottles in the bedroom & we were given more the second day. I saw a trolley full of them. This is a lot of plastic waste. There is no need for plastic water bottles: wevfilled our own water bottles with water from the bar. Also, although we were encouraged to not discard barely used towels, one of my towels was uneccessarily replaced."

"Comfy beds and linen. property a little run down staff were very friendly and helpful with exception of receptionist that forgot to tell us we had dinner and how to redeem at restaurant. food good quality particularly the olives and nibbles great value. Breakfast coffee machine didn’t dispense correctly and bacon was cold on hot counter. great selection for breakfast."

Village Hotel Solihull

"Clean room. Looks like I stayed in a brand new renovated room. There is a lot of building work being done with the lift to my floor being out so had to walk the rest of the way up stairs which wasn’t a big issue for me."
